Some of the comments on that thread. :scust:

Titi has won EVERY trophy at club and international level. And yet you have these cult Arteta worshippers calling him a hater for stating the facts?

Henry had to leave Arsenal for Barcelona because he saw Wenger had reached the ceiling with the club. He knows better than anyone when things are stagnant.

I’m relatively new to European club soccer and the fans are by far the most annoying/hypocritical fan base of any professional sports.

No one that roots for a club worth over a billion pounds should be bragging about a Conference League trophy or anything related to a Conference League trophy. Even if it's used to banter Arsenal.

Have some self-respect.

this is how people used to talk about the european cup.

the english first division didn't even bother to enter the first european cup

today's "distraction" becomes tomorrows premier competition. that is the hope with the world club cup btw.

" English champions Chelsea initially agreed to compete and were drawn against Swedish side Djurgården; however, under pressure from the Football League, who saw the tournament as a distraction to domestic football, they later withdrew from the competition,"

Maybe I'm misremembering this but Man U FA Cup win was treated as a big deal. It quite literally saved ETH's job wouldn't you say? But then a lot of the issues they had continued on and have arguably gotten worse.

I think both are true. Man U's FA Cup win was a nice moment but looking into the future you'd rather be in Arsenal's position
Meh.... i have the visceral enjoyment of Garnacho and Kobbie pegging Citeh back by 2-0 when the world expected a thrashing. United fans includes. So i could always have said memory of triumph under duress....... What do Arsenalol get to say?...... "oh we ALMOST beat Citeh to the league 2 times, ALMOST beat Liverpoo, and ALMOST got to the UCL final if PSG weren't bettrr than us. but it's ok at least we have these participation ribbons and we get to go do it again next year.... ":troll:

Some teams want hardware in their trophy cabinets, others like second place ribbons..... as much as I have to despise Liverpool for being an arch rival, they NEVER were happy settling for no trophies.... winner mentality VS stay8ng in mediocrity
