Why is Arsenal not in for a Cherki?

For as much as I don't rate rate Odegaard and his defensive works gets worse the further he drops back. His redeeming quality defensively is that he sets the pressing triggers in the attacking 3rd. That is what he is good at. If you have Saka on the right then you need a flyer down the left. If you sign Cherki instead of the transition threat you're going to be cussing and cursing months down the line as to why you didn't sign one.

Yes you need more creative but the extra pace is needed even more. Unless you want to give those Reiss Nelson hamstrings one more chance?

Tbh Cherki could do with some refinement at this stage of his career not too much but make him go down less blind alleys/over dribbling. And Pep is most likely gone in 2 summers time. Maybe even next summer if Citeh do outrageous year or win the CL.
