Man those Maghrebi French talents are something - Cherki.

Here’s the thing - I know he is seen in Lyon as a bit ‘wild’, hence his fee being so low. So, is Pep going to be good for him? Can a well oiled system be good for him at this age, like it could have been for a Ben Arfa? OR is Pep going to suppress all that makes him so exciting - the free flowing style and playing on natural instincts?

I feel like Pep is going to be great for Cherki’s career - will probably allow him to learn how to be controlled and thus have a longer career. BUT it’s probably going to bad for football fans, in that all of what makes Cherki’s talents so rare become neutralized.
I think Pep will be great for Cherki.

What hasn't helped Cherki development is that Lyon hasn't been a settled environment for a few seasons now. Last time they had a coach for the full season was 21/22.

Probably not, but that team if it exists will end up with him. Arsenal isn’t a serious club atm
City
Chelsea
Utd

All move quickly and decisively with transfers

I mean January transfer window was very telling. The league was up for grabs and you sat there and did nothing.

Our coach is a politician and the board is cheap and wants to nickel and dime

Not the first time it’s happened either. I straight up do not trust this club to do anything properly anymore. We’ll wait until the other teams around us pass us and try to scramble again
