I saw a buffoon on Racefans say they can’t wait to see how Lewis measures up to LeClerc? I was like … . I think you have that backwards my guy. It probably comes off as sensitive, but it’s always these little subtle things they “slip” and say that I don’t often see with other drivers. It’s like they’re subconsciously constantly waiting to see him “exposed”.

Like he hasn't been up against Alonso, Button, Rosberg, Bottas, Russell already and beat them all.

People act like Leclerc is some all-time great level talent when Sainz had people asking who the #1 driver on the team was at multiple points over the past 3 years. Lewis will close any of those gaps and more, even at 40.

EDIT: What many fail to realize, is that if Ferrari truly felt Leclerc was on the level of Lewis or Max, they wouldn't have reached out to Lewis.

To be fair though. I look forward to this. Charles for me is the fastest over one lap on the grid, but he is a just an above average racer, below Lewis, Max, Lando, Alonso....and Sainz quite frankly....

That's been the trend with these cars to keep weight down, so I expect more like this.

To be fair to their shytheadedness they tried to do that last year too with George. Lewis being 3rd in the WDC while Merc having the 3rd fastest, sometimes 4th or 5th best depending on what McLaren and Aston Martin were up to, was probably his best drive meanwhile George was down in 8th which is probably where the car actually belonged.

If Vasseur can figure out how to make sure that car is reliable it's going to be a repeat of him and Max trying to run him off the road again. The Tifosi ain't gonna be quiet about it neither if they clash like they did at Monza that one time.
