Not at all. I simply stay close to walls around corners and let them lure me out and I let er' rip. I'm actually starting to see more AR users now since I started playing like this, even on Complex.

Instant spawn is fukkin trash. It works better for BTB type shyt, but for medium/small maps it's terrible. I don't know anyone that plays competitive halo that enjoys it.

Sprint...trash. I hate sprint in Halo, period. It's even worst than Reach because we have instant spawn. It's hilarious when you kill someone, look behind you and that same player is charging you off spawn before you can blink.

random ordnance drops...trash. We finally control a part of the map and we get a needler and the opposing teams gets a binary rifle, cool. Also moving the weapon to a new location every spawn is stupid as fukk, it creates randomness by spawning weapons closer/further away from teams instead of having them in a single location throughout the match.

Better maps. Haven and Abandon are the best maps in the game, competitive wise. Adrift would work better with quicker weapons spawns to promote movement, till then we shall camp the base. Solace is trash and Complex is too big for 4v4 and it's also trash.

343 had some cool ideas but executed most of them badly. Sigh, i'll continue to give out #DatWork till the first patch drops.

I'm not the biggest Halo head/purist so my take will be different... I fukks with the random weapon drops.

I think it helps minimize some of the potential camping that would go down without a radar. Also, when the weapons drop, everybody can see where they're at, and it's usually a race to them. shyt is just fun IMO. I know what you're talking about with holding down a spot and protecting the power weapons from the other team... since I play solo most of the time, the randomness helps me out. It also pushes the fight to all areas of the map instead of people just camping and waiting for some shyt to respawn.

Only map that I don't fukk with on Slayer Pro is Solace :gag:

The other 3 I like. Complex is cool with me cause again, I play a lot solo, so I can navigate around easier without worrying about my teammates not backing me up when I'm outnumbered.

The instant spawning is OD though, cause nikkas come back like bats out of hell when they die. That shyt is crazy..

i dont mind sprinting...Its the jet packs and hallogram bullshyt that steered me from Reach. Thats why i play strictly Slayer Pro...Theres no bullshyt power perks and no radar.

yea, 343 was going for nikkas like you @GoldenGlove, no disrespect. Players that arent taking it too serious will def enjoy these settings/options, others will not enjoy it as much. I get it in in slayer pro, but when the fukkery starts to happen it's very annoying.

@bboystyle solace is not small. There is too much going on with that map, way too much. The reason the spawns don't fukk with you as much is because of it's oversized design lol, not because it's "small".

breh Solace is dope on Slayer Pro. Its a small map so the bullshyt spawns wont kill u instantly. Its a two way map. Now corners to worry about..

I only like playing that map with a full squad

if they are on top mid out in the open, yes you can do that. However, if they are in the back of the base where flag spawns, side rooms, bottom mid somewhere then you cant kill em easily.

The map has too many unnecessary objects on the main level. It's Narrows with extra walls/platforms on the main part of the map, tunnels n extra rooms in the bases and a bottom area that isn't needed.

map is tridash. However, the MLG and AGL versions of the map are way better with blocked off rooms n shyt.

Halo has a huge amount of users who play online so I think they should implement more playlists that'll satisfy most of the fans rather than take out playlists or features.

They already have that Anniversary playlists in Reach so they should just transfer that over in here. It worked in Reach so they might as well do it here.

There is no need to remove features and gimp parts of the game because even though you may be a Halo purist and know the ins and outs of the game, there is still other halo fans who prefer this style of gameplay. The solution?? Make more playlist catered towards those players. I think all they need is a classic slayer with a radar and no loadouts, no instant respawn, sprint, perks and armor abilities.

I for one enjoy Infinity slayer when I just am playing for fun but I wouldn't mind a classic slayer playlist. Slayer Pro is ok but that should be tweaked like you said for MLG players and classic slayer for the purists.

Personally, I want more maps and not from DLC only because I feel that'll start to fragment part of the player pool too much. It was annoying in Reach because I ended up buying the DLC and a few months later I couldn't even play on them.
They should add a few forge maps to the regular 4v4 slayer gametypes.

I agree @Fatboi1, but I don't want them to make too many playlists with different mechanics and settings it's going to alienate the community like Reach. They need to do something like

Infinity Slayer
Infinity Objective
Big Team Slayer
Big Team Objective
MLG (remove Slayer Pro)
Team Classic (4v4 radar, no sprint, no instant spawn, no random weapon drops. Have weapons spawn in specific areas on a set timer)
Team Doubles (classic + Infinity settings)
FFA (regicide + classic settings)
Team Snipers
Griffball
Flood


This will give players exactly what they want without having too many playlists. It will also keep the population in each playlists stable.


they are going to be doing weekly playlist updates. I saw what they did with the release day playlists, they want you to play the new updates first, before they roll out the regular playlists like doubles, swat etc.

Also, they need to give us the option for classic flag. fukk flagnum and it's limited ways of playing.
