I got some Sennheiser Urbanite XLs and they pretty much sound like the Beats Studio 2.0s so I'm gonna dump them and get the Momentum 2.0s and see if the sound is better.

ordered a pair of Sennheiser Momentum 2.0s in black over the ear. Hope they sound different than my Momentum 1s on ear.

Just recieved the ATH-M50x joints, I ordered them thinking I was copping the older M50 joints that are cheaper but still have the same audio quality but do not come with the detachable cords. So they just came in and it was the M50x with the 3 different cords. :blessed::blessed: They sound aight so far, but does anyone know who sells good reasonably priced amps besides Fiios? I bought an amp from them and they broke, so I'm not doing that again.

Fiio is the best for the reasonably priced amps, I have a few of them and while one was kind of junk, the E11, the E07k DAC/Amp is unbeatable for about $70 as it also has the Wolfson Digital to Analogue converter which when connected via USB to your phone or computer replaces the shytty DAC in your device. Or you could go with something like the Cayin C5.

Or simply wait until the Fiio X7 drops, its a portable music player with wifi and changeable amp circuits

Gotta say respect to you dudes on the headphone amp mention, I copped one a month ago and now I can't listen to music through my headphones without it. At first I just thought it made the music louder, but once I got used to using it, and then forgetting it at home or in the office and being forced to listen w/o it, the difference is remarkable.

Make sure you guys are pumping up the bass but not the treble and I wouldn't even do the "db gain" either. Those make it louder but it turns up part of the spectrum but it's better not push up the levels and simply increase volume and keep only 1 part of the spectrum that you want to emphasize high: the bass. Now every song is a head nodder.
