I appreciate your help.

This is the current thermostat, that I've since uninstalled. Not every wire was connected for this set up but it includes:

White
Green
Red
Yellow (spliced with Red)
Orange
Blue
Grey

Issue I ran into was when I installed the Nest, it was saying it wasn't detecting the Blue & Orange wires...then I had to take them all out to reconnect them, then it said it wasn't detecting a couple more wires after that :francis: at which point it was like 10PM and I was like fukk it I'll deal with this tmrw
No doubt. Go to your furnace and take a clear pic of the tstat terminals. They should be inside the furnace/air handler door. It will have r c w y.
Make note of which colors go to which terminal. Match those colors where they come out the wall in the above pic

Will check this as soon as I get back to the crib

I know which ones to where on the Nest's set up FWIW, just seemed like some weren't getting detected once connected

Nest is chock full of issues we get called back for countless little bs updates. Sometimes we don’t come out as soon as the homeowner says “we installed a nest recently” no bs.

pull the door off your furnace and start where the tstat wires connect. That’s where we start, that’s where u start. Then the instructions will be more clear.

Make sure all the color’s letters on the furnace wires correspond with the plate on the new thermostat
Yep, it looks like my orange and blue aren't connected to anything

Best to leave them disconnected?

Or

Blue should go to C?

Where should the orange be connected?

So after messing with the fukker for a while, I kept getting an error code that Google says means I need the C Power Adaptor, which is already being sent to me. Google also saying that I might have a defective device too. But at least it started to detect the wires

Leave orange and blue alone. Looks like only one wire is on c? 4 total wires connect at the tstat? They will send u a converter to power your wifi stat. More headache hit me when I get it. It’ll be easy

My breh

On the old thermostat had 4 total wires connected and then the red jumper wire you see.

1. Red to RC
2. Yellow (spliced with Red) to Y/0
3. White to W/B
4. Green into G

(jumped wire RC to RH)

Not showing a C port on the old thermostat. My b if I'm not understanding properly

Na u good. Your old stat is not “powered” it likely had a battery. Your new one requires more power than a battery can provide, hence the common wire that steals power from the furnace.
