I wanted to replace windows and doors for my house a few months ago.....
Let's just say the quotes are still on my dresser and I still have the old windows and doors

best thing to do is buy the windows one at a time. get what you can afford and then a state certified contractor. or youtube. start with the smallest window typically the bathroom and learn how to do it yourself.

Up north, finished basement is included in square footage

Got 1000 finished sq ft in the basement and another 500 unfinished that I'll use as storage space for now

I gotta 5.625% interest rate from navy fed...but it's a no-refi rate reduction program where I can pay $250 to request lower rates indefinitely if the rates drop (which is diff than a typical refi). If rates drop to 4%, I pay $250 and my rate gets reduced to 4%. I locked in this current rate before rates shot back up to 6.4% due to the war and market shocks.

You did great. Us civilians are still stuck hovering around 7%. I thought I got scammed when rates were at 2.5% but we didn’t get the chance to get locked in until 3.375

Even with 1500 sqft as basement you did great my guy.
