Hulu Announces New Stand-Up Comedy Brand ‘Hulu’s Laughing Now’ - The Walt Disney Company
Jim Gaffigan will be the first comedian to host a stand-up special as part of the new brand, with his special “The Skinny” launching on the platform Nov. 22. “Hulu’s Laughing Now” will feature 12 comedy specials per year, adding one new comic per month.

More psychological horror as opposed to gory or jump scare, though there will be some jump scares on the second act once you find out where them bricks come from.

Definitely a gem in the dark thriller genre. I was 12 or 13 years old when I first saw 8MM, not knowing what it was. I was too young and was NOT READY for how messed up it is. The whole damn movie stuck with me.
Remember this scene in True Detective?
I'm pretty sure it was inspired by this scene from 8MM:
