That’s a good idea. Not sure where her headspace is at right now but if she had that type of political savvy she would have come closer to winning.

I don’t think she cares deeply about Gaza enough to put her neck out there to take the threats from Trump and blowback from the media to do so but at the same time if she held all the cards as the President I think she would be handling Gaza better.

Two things can be true, she might not care about the Palestinians but at the same time she would be better than Trump

We agree on that. I could have told you that from the beginning :pachaha:

Can't think of many issues where she is bold in general (maybe apart from abortion. But not more than your typical Democratic woman politician). Even her recent comments against Trump have been... insipid?

And this issue requires a lot of courage and boldness in the political arena. Even as president, to come out boldly against Israel's genocide risks antagonizing broad swathes of the political spectrum, including many of the Democrats. It would take someone who doesn't give a fukk about anything but doing what's right. Half measures or small gestures wouldn't be enough.

If you're looking for small gestures, sure, Kamala would be better than Trump, I'll give you that.

But for something substantial and decisive? That's not her. That's never been her. Her entire political career she's played it safe and incremental. And that's why not many believed she'd make a substantial difference on Gaza and Palestine in general. And she did little to convince us otherwise during the election so she's sitting at home and Trump is in the white house.

And that’s where I blame the electorate. Incremental progress is preferable to full blown regression right?
