Then they would join the ranks of the many, many other imperfect, non/pseudo-democratic nations in the world which we don't have the right to invade and occupy? But I feel like your question is premised on a faulty, Orientalist understanding of Hamas as some uniquely barbaric entity. They were the civil society in Gaza. They ran like water treatment facilities and the garbage collection service and childhood vaccine programs. That's the real world. The progress of nations and societies and peoples aren't black and white.
