This is the rationale of a party that doesn't believe in anything except winning elections, and it is one of the reasons the Dems lost in 2024 and will continue to lose unless we/they find an
affirmative, rather than reactive, platform.
Dems need to ask themselves why:
- The working class no longer has a clear concept of which party would benefit them more. Dems held the working class for decades in this country, why is it that the a significant portion of that base thinks that the GOP might be a better option?
- How could so many Muslim Americans possibly think that DJT would have a better policy on Gaza than the Democratic option?
The answer to those questions cannot simply be that people are ignorant. While that may be part of the problem, it doesn’t address the larger issue or offer a solution for how Democrats can win elections moving forward—especially as Americans continue to migrate to red states, increasing their electoral influence.
