I think it’s a combination of shyt. I think Mal’s been upset with the way Joe’s been moving without them business wise for a while now and it all culminated with him making a unilateral decision of “suspending” one of them. Then Joe confirmed Mal’s suspicions when he told him this is my shyt not yours.

I think what you were trying to say earlier was that Tax brought a completely different crowd to podcasting. And you’d be 100% right. Joe doesn’t get enough credit for his vision and got into podcasting right before the audience blew up but Tax was the one to blow it up. Before Tax, it was night shift nikkas like me, truck drivers and general nerds of super specific subjects who really fukked with podcasts. Tax brought the everyday nikkas into it and Joe captured a large part of that audience with his Drake rant, just as Tax started getting into legal trouble.
