It’s not that simple. If we going off equity being comparable to someone being a shareholder of a company, a quick google search says that a shareholder has limited rights to inspect accounting and no right to inspect corporate communications and contracts.

So Rory & Mal can ask to see the books and Joe can say no.
If they really want to, they can take it to court and assuming they really are about to lawyer up, then they need to make a case.
If they think Joe is being shady with money, stop beating around the bush and say it.
Know that if you work FOR anybody no matter how long you’ve been around that doesn’t entitle you to OWNERSHIP of a goddamn thing.

Ehh....kinda different. Every job I've had...whether it's been fast food or corporate, I've had the option to buy in and benefit from the success of the company. IMO it's unrealistic to ask someone working as a 1099 to give a fukk about your business outside of the pay they receive.
Rory said as much when they discussed Dev and MDWOG, and I asked the same thing: why is it frowned upon for me not to give a fukk as much as you about your business? To go further - why should Rory and Mal give a fukk about the network? I work and go home - Rory and Mal are in front of the camera - that's their role. Parks, Savon and dem are behind the camera - of course they have more to do with how the product is viewed and delivered. Lol this nikka Joe trying to finesse nikkas into being mad at Rory and Mal for not loving his podcast network as much as him. fukk that lol

but the fact that people think he should’ve given up equity in his vision when he was paying for all of the expenses and they signed contracts to be employees is nuts
people who say “they brought value, they helped the pod blow up” are acting like Mal and Rory didn’t sign agreements for that value they added and weren’t paid.

This was always my problem with this podcast, the few times i enjoyed was when they were talkin about something actually happening in hiphop and when i viewed segments about that it was usually Joe doing the talkin on the topic with rory/mal dropping maybe a comment here or there, most rory. Mal dude would just be looking at his shoes
The mental gymnastics in here are insane
