that's not how you ask for more money at ANY business man, and if you're gonna ask, you ask about that AFTER you tell them it's because you were looking for a raise, at least have the respect to give them context for wanting to know. if you asking to see books it's because you are combining your business with another and need to square that stuff away for legal purposes

Ehh....kinda different. Every job I've had...whether it's been fast food or corporate, I've had the option to buy in and benefit from the success of the company. IMO it's unrealistic to ask someone working as a 1099 to give a fukk about your business outside of the pay they receive.
