If they get paid off profits after expenses then they technically do pay for expenses.

It seems like Joe runs his podcast as inefficiently as possible. There's no reason he needs to pay 4 different people to do editing, uploading, and whatever screenman does. Podcasting is not very expense, what was Joe doing wrong where he has this high overhead cost just for a podcast?

He should have been bringing in millions a year before the spotify deal with how big the podcast was, but dude is so bad at business he failed to consider revenue streams.

They pay expenses indirectly...Its different when Joe is actually paying expenses and then when you get to a net you pay Rory and Mal...Its different emotionally...They sit behind expenses that joe pay to get to their net. Paying expenses is not just a financial thing it takes time, concentration energy, emotion and then you have to audit the expense is that really what the expense should be and consider timing of the month. Its easy to have someone write check or ACH transfers to pay bills and then when the net profit is there you just take 20% and walk away. Thats not really PAYING expenses thats just getting your money after someone else pays the expenses. They agreed to NET profit they are not actively paying expenses and then taking whats left over. Its different dynamic.

At this point, the income from the podcast should be more than enough to cover all expenses and leave everyone involved with a nice chunk of change.

If Joe is still coming out of pocket personally to fund a podcast with millions of listeners, then Joe is doing something very wrong on the business side.

He streamed himself watching the response video. He started by claiming that they were two bums who didn't understand their contract, the longer the video went on He started realizing that they were right.

He eventually pivoted to them being idiots for trusting Joe to do good business, and then acting like they're to cool to sue Joe.

LMAO I'd love to see him hit that spin move live...even Ak should have enough sense to lay off this situation for a while
