He hates that Jay Elec dropped Exhibit C and then got granted God tier status, and then kept it without having to put out a project for 10 years. That's purely what it is. He was harping on this fact long before the album dropped:yeshrug:
So that equates to jealousy and hate? Because I thought this was alot of people’s critique regarding Jay Elec?

I look at it like this. Joe has already solidified himself in the rap game whether he was popular or not. Jay Electronica doesn't even have an album he did himself out. Homie dropped a joint album with Hov. I never fukked with Joe's music, but I just don't see how people crown Jay E has some rap god. Dude barely spit on this album. Universal Soldier is damn near 2 minutes of instrumental.

I don't think it equates to jealousy or hate, but that critique is clearly what the root of all his takes are.

I agree that he shouldn't be held in this high regard without having a decent output. However I still like the album.

That's the main issue with Jay E. Any other artist would get KILLED for dropping one memorable song & then disappearing for a decade.
