Not exactly.

Rory brought sponsors to joe and he kept turning them down because he didn't want ad's on the show, he spoke on that in the past. He was only open to sponsors after the spotify deal fell through.
Theyve been off spotify for a while

What ads have rory brought in since then?

The fact that people keep twisting Rory's words in regards to that is nuts to me. And hearing everything come out it makes total sense why they wouldn't give a fukk about helping Joe build his network out considering he's basically told them fukk off this is mine. So for Joe to turn around and be pissed that they didn't want to put in extra hours for free to help him build up the network on the hope that he would give them some equity on it down the line shows how ridiculous Joe is. Especially considering all the work they did in helping build the podcast up and Joe basically telling them that the podcast is his and all decisions in regards to the pod are his.
Joe told them that they could take HIS CONTENT and promote it on their own channels FOR FREE

They chose not too because they're lazy

ONCE AGAIN, JOE SHOWED THEM THE BOOKS

THEY THEN TRIED TO GET AN INDEPENDENT AUDIT OF THE JBP

WHY DO Y'ALL KEEP POSTING THIS LIE??
he didn’t show them the books. He got a outside company to audit it. Rory didn’t want to take that company’s word. Joe budden is a client to that company, Rory wanted a outside company to do it

Hell no, their best move was get paid for adlibbing for Joe while using their platform for other things

But no matter what Joe says, if your contract says you are entitled to a certain percentage of profits then you deserve to see the numbers

Ian and Joe stated that they estimated how much profit would be remaining and paid them percentage.

Since the Spotify deal is over there has to be a true up of the numbers and parties should be made whole

if you were paying me 3% of the profit and you estimated that you were going to make 10,000 and gave me 3,000. If in the end you made $20,000 in profit then I’m entitled to that other 3,000

I think they’re going to sue Joe, I think giving them more money after the Spotify deal ended was some hush money
They did an audit and found out they were overpaid and said that Joe was lying on the books. So what’s the next step?

The bold = "i have no idea what im talking about so im just throwing out random guesses"

I actually watch the jbp. They b mics brought nothing. Screen man is more integral to the show than the b mics

I watch too, breh. You're saying they don't bring topics, and that's false. Rory transitions between topics. They've had episodes without Screen Man since Rory and Mal went on strike, so I'm not sure what you're getting at.

Y’all nikkas defending Joe’Business sense realize he turned down a 40-50 million dollar bag right? Instead he went to patreon for $10 a head. I don’t see how y’all are making sense of that
You do realize that that spotify deal was a 360 deal correct?

Do you know what a 360 is?

A lot of yall are throwing out uninformed opinions without knowing the facts

That’s the whole issue. WILL it get them paid more? If so, how? Because they don’t have any ownership or equity stake in it :jbhmm: they don’t own any part of their own podcast, let alone a piece of this ‘network’ Joe is building. :jbhmm:

So I ask you, Joe’s big dream of being Bill Simmons, Joe Rogan or some other white man with his ‘network’ that really only has attention because of the podcast Rory and Mal helped build. If he someday reaches that point, how would Rory and Mal stand to benefit from it? What they get a raise?!?!?

This 1 podcast equates to 90% of the value of this whole ‘network’ that Joe magically came up with after Spotify told him to fukk off :mjlol: So to say rory and mal would benefit, is you either being wrong or disingenuous
By starting their OWN podcasts on the network in which they have majority stake.

Whats so hard to comprehend about this???

Discovery. The problem here seems to be that there is no solid number in any of the contracts but rather a percentage of some sort. Rory and Mal have probably just been collecting checks and not getting any insight to the numbers. Then they gotta raise out the blue, after the deal fell through and got suspicious.

They have an easy case in court if Joe’s numbers aren’t solid. He will be forced to open them up in discovery though, you can bet that.

It would be dumb to break apart the audience. There is no way Joe would let them use the actual content on their individual pages. The money comes from having a huge audience and the best way to ensure that is to have fans going to ONE place to see everything.
Again, according to the ACTUAL ACCOUNTING, they were OVERPAID
The fact that you don't know how funny accounting can be shows you're out of your depth. Companies write off all sorts of shyt as expenses for tax purposes. The final accounting numbers can be spun in so many ways. Joe could write off his personal chef and driver easily as podcast expenses, same as his personal trips or money spent on the network which should be a separate entity from the podcast expenses. That's why Rory and Mal would want an audit to get a breakdown of what is being counted as expenses to make sure they are all legit. The fact that Joe is working so hard to avoid showing them the breakdown should be a huge red flag to let you know that they something is funny about the money.

on the other hand, we're taking joe's word for it that it was a 360.

is the rogan deal a 360 as well? (genuinely asking, since I didn't follow all that shyt..and just know that he signed for XX years for some exclusivity)
