It's no different than R. Kelly.

People may have known via rumors, but when things are brought up in court they're looked at differently in the public eye.

That's not to say, much like R. Kelly, some people still won't care, but there is a level of legitimacy that court testimonies bring to changing how someone is viewed in the public.
