Their takes on the Quik Trip song from the JCole album were horrendous. Either they didnt listen to the song or have truly remedial interpretation ability.

What was wrong with their take on it? Honestly it reminded me of some of Joe's stories where he makes the most mundane story sound like some big elaborate event. At least Cole had a message to it all.

Joe ran with an extremely literal interpretation of the song and didnt even try too consider the message at all. None of them bothered to offer a different perspective, even though a regular listener would clearly recognize it wasnt about pumping gas.

I dont see anything wrong with Cole relating how a mundane interaction, that he was used to avoiding, reminded him of the effect his music could have on his fans. It was one of the better songs on the album IMO.

They've gotten much better at boxing out Mona from all her overtalking
