What do both of those parents fill out as their status on forms? Single. Regardless most Black children are in a single parent household even by your definition, especially after their toddler years.

Brother - do you live in Jupiter? I've just explained to you what the single in "single parent household" means. You can't take a specific designation and attribute your personal meaning to it because of poor comprehension or because you feel like it, then try to impose it on the rest of the world. That's not how language works. This society thing we've got going on only works because of mutual understanding and agreement on the meaning of things and "single parent household" is a specific designation for households with one parent, i.e - single/sole/singular not "marital status".

Maybe if you start your own republic you can change that designation to refer to "marital status", but in the real world - it does not, I'm afraid.

No I understand the literal definition of a single parent household. But if you actually look into the data, the percent who live with both unmarried parents is a fluid guesstimate since most people who have a child out of wedlock and cohabitate break up while the child is a toddler so it’s hard to verify. You got it tho.
