Tweaked my shoulder with poor form bike riding but looking to get back to my KB workouts this week. 500 swings sounds hella taxing lol, especially since they're suggesting a 53 lbs KB.
It is. I was using a 20kg KB when I did 500 but my 24 showed up Thursday. I did 210 before I tapped out. By the end of next week I should be back at 500 hopefully.

Anybody got suggestions for upper body KB workouts? Specifically the biceps or chest.

I'm getting a lower body workout through cycling and so I want to use KB workouts solely for upper body. Currently I'm doing Turkish Get Ups as well as Clean & Presses. I feel like TGU's are for the whole body which is not as necessary for me. C&P otoh are more my speed but I have shoulder issues occasionally which convinces me to skip the whole exercise a lot of times.

Gonna restart this on Monday to get some definition before summer is over. Gotta remember to take more protein powder since I don't get a lot through my diet

I mostly get ideas off of YouTube , here’s one with a bunch of variations:

For anyone getting serious with Kettlebells, this guy lays out a pretty good system on how to go about training instead of just 'swinging' like a lunatic until your arms fall off. The structure he outlines is pretty good, especially for me, a non athletic, non gym going breh who's finally taking his health serious and trying to stick to a proper workout regimine, having no prior training/experience before. See what you can get from it and set yourself up if you're new to this.

Also, this guy teaches form and all the other techniques if you're wondering what you should be doing an how you do it. I tend to go to older stuff that isn't necessarily tied to a current day gym influencer trying to push their views/marketing shyt for you and this guy has been synonymous with kettlebell training for a hot minute. Been using these two guys (pause) to maximize the use of that 35 lb bytch of a kettlebell I bought to finally put myself in a healthier body without having to dread going and joining an expensive meathead gym and dealing with the culture which throws me off every time I tried.

All you need is the Russian way of strength training, weights are :childplease:.

Kettlebell's give you that natural and functional strength. fukk I look like lifting a weight up and down and not being strong in the real world.

Tell me you're a weak bytch that doesn't lift without telling me. :unimpressed:

What "culture"?

The whole influencer/Instagram culture of constantly recording/posing/preening whether it be physical or vocal is something I haven't learned to tolerate much less ignore since I'm quite sure I'd never partake in it, even when I garner results worthy enough of participating in. The few times I've been, it just annoyed me more than anything because I'm already looking for excuses to quit/leave while I work that weak minded tendency to make excuses and stop, out of my system while I ford on ahead.
That's why I was so onboard with copping a Rowing machine and a Kettlebell and atleast get in the fundamentals of losing/burning fat/weight building muscle and just generally getting to a point where I could go the gym and work/maintain what I have going in a singular mindset where I'm just hyper focused on the task at hand and not the things around me while I catch my breath from being new to the whole aspect of working out.

Sounds like you're not in the right frame of mind to be working out in a gym, and you recognize this. :ehh:

Well the goal was to be constantly working out, rather than me subliminally finding excuses to slack off. Also, I was a bit self conscious starting off and taking breaks between sets/sessions and what's not in the middle of everyone being productive. I just figured after gaining some level of conditioning where I'm used to what I'm constantly putting my body through, gain a bit more confidence in my skill/form/stamina, then I can assimilate back into it, keep my head down (Pause) and get what I got to get and leave. But at this point, It's about comfort starting out so I can work on pushing myself out of that shyt persistently and gain knowledge/results.
