Yep, exactly.

I remember in 2019, after the Disney/Fox merger was finalized, almost everyone was hyped because finally the X-Men could be a part of the MCU (with a new and fresh take).

Almost everyone was over the Fox X-Men and wanted to leave it in the past. Now all of a sudden, there's nostalgia for the Fox X-Men, and they somehow need a "send off" lol.
Who is saying that? everything I see online is people wanting a reboot. (except for Wolverine, people are convinced that no one other than a tall middle aged australian can play him)

I don't think the "send off" is about the fans. It's about Feige wanting to pay homage to them and his beginnings. It's an internal thing and he's just saying, "tough for you if you don't like it".

These nerds did the same thing with Sony spiderman. They turned on those movies and then loved them after no way home

Among diehard X-Men fans (especially those that read the comics), most want a new and better take on the characters.

Among more casual fans or people who have only watched the X-Men movies, many are hyped for Doomsday/Secret Wars.

The Fox X-Men actors returning got the most hype from the Doomsday cast announcement trailer.

10-year plan that starts 10-years after End Game :mjlol:

Even as someone who feels the X-Men IP is overvalued (remember, the MCU was supposed to save the X-Men from shytty writing and low box office Fox, not be saved by them) i do feel bad for their fans who been hoping for this ish goin on 15 years; im talkin even before the deal went thru.

I'm fortunate i got to experience the Infinity Saga in my mid-20s to mid-30s. Mf'ers my age gon be 55+ by the time they get their x-men payoff :dead:
Marvel as they are now are very hit and miss. Can they even pull off X-men anymore?

The general public been exposed to 20 years of x-men movies in which Fox already tried damn near everything to milk it: Origin stories, period pieces, desolate futures, time travel, trilogies with the OG cast, trilogies with the new cast, budget Infinity War with both casts, old beloved actors (Stewart, McKellen), young up n coming actors (McAvoy, Fassbender), sexy gen x actresses (prime Halle), sexy gen y actresses (Jennifer Lawrence), trendy teen actresses (Sophie Turner, Maisie Williams), nearly all the mainstream villains, nearly all the major cliche storylines, never waivering from keeping the most popular characters Magneto and Wolverine all up in the video...

...all that and their box office was never shyt. Except for Deadpool. It's why i consider them overvalued by some fans. Because the idea that if the Avengers "fail", oh they'll just give the people the X-Men... lol nah.

More like they'll just start give ppl nothing but Spider-Man and Deadpool teammups :mjlol:

Feige noted that the X-Men comics, with their focus on Xavier’s School for Gifted Youngsters, naturally centered on stories about adolescent characters. “They have been a place to tell stories about young people who feel different and who feel Other and who feel like they don’t belong,” he said. “That’s the universal story of mutants, and that is where we’re going.”

Would prefer they’re all adults.

Not surprised they gonna go cheap as fukk on the X-Men. When they realize that shyt don't work and they sprinkle in some Vet cast members. Fassbender got to return as Magneto.

:trash:We just saw this with the First Class movies :unimpressed:

The real reason they’re doing this is so they can have the actors for longer instead of 6-10 year runs and on cheaper contracts.

This X-Men series is going to be for a post secret wars audience NOT us :yeshrug:
