Y'all really gonna be mad when speight is the starter next season
Of course he will be. His wack ass little brother just walked on too. But y'all are better than me conversing with @smitty22 and them. I'm not talking to anyone who has even visited Ohio in the past 3 weeks until late December. 06 was whatever, we lost, and I was mad. This shyt was infuriating because we're better than them and Speight fukked it up and then three refs who had no business refereeing a game of that magnitude gave them every call.

The dumbest thing in sports is when people say "you should not have let it come to the refs." It's basically taking all the burden off the refs to their fukking job. This is the most angry I have been about a game since Pats-Giants 08 SB. I don't even know how y'all are talking about next year right now. @Trust Me stop kidding yourself, Speight is starting next year. He's a p*ssy that wilts under pressure, but he knows the offense and it's his team. I wish he played better this year and left for the NFL but that's not life.

While you may be right about Speight starting next year, remember this. He's only got a semester on Peters, in Harbaugh's offense. He was an early enrollee. I honestly think Peters starts next year. I think Harbaugh realizes that the stakes are higher now then when he was at Stanford. He NEEDS production out of the QB position, not just a half ass game manager.

Did you guys even realize that we didn't even try a pass over 20 yards all game long? What shytty play calling by our coaches. Especially in the second half.

We know why Speight didn't try any deep passes. Florida had a top 5 defense this year. We don't have time to break in a first time starter and deal with all of that. Maybe you do. Unless we can hand it off and gain 5 yards every single play. Can we?

Chris Evans Ty Isaac and Karan Higdon were all better than DeVeon Smith towards the end of the year. And if you tell me that smith was a better pass protector, I'll call bullshyt. He fell the fukk off towards the end of the year. He's solely responsible for Speight's pick 6 for not picking up the lineman.

Kyle Kalis stayed at RG for the whole year when Michael Onwenu couldn't have been any worse.

He should have emptied out the bench more than he did this year. OKorn DEFINITELY should've taken more snaps this year.

Edit: It has NOTHING to do with stars.

We know the refs fukked us. The refs from Ohio, the ref that's in the Ohio football HOF. That's out of our control now, aside from possible referee reform. We handed the ball to deveon smith and failed against MSU, Iowa & OSU. Great teams in big games run the clock out. We can fix that problem and we gotta place our thoughts towards that. What in the world has peters or O'Korn ever shown for you to besmirch Speight though? That Indiana game excited you?

whoever called for a play action from the endzone is the biggest culprit for the pick 6. Terrible offensive call. Yes smith missed the block but what about the other 10 he didn't miss. What about smith being the reason they won with that wack o korn at qb. You cannot say onwenu couldn't have been worse, that's a terrible statement.

Speights was cool under pressure and escaping it nicely as the season progressed, he was not soft and wilting under pressure. Y'all want perfection like this wasn't a first time starting college qb.

Michigan had control of that game refs or not. They were too conservative on offense.

We know why he didn't attempt any passes over 20 yards? Really? Why then? And don't say his shoulder because he hurt his NON throwing shoulder. Guess what else? Florida had a top 10 defense LAST year too. What happened in the Capital One bowl?

We know the refs fukked us. The refs from Ohio, the ref that's in the Ohio football HOF. That's out of our control now, aside from possible referee reform. No ones arguing that we need to run the ball better. I'm not sure why your panties are all knotted up. As for what has Peters or O'Korn showed me? O'Korn was plugged in to start against Indiana without even getting any snaps during the season. I put that on HARBAUGH. There's no reason he shouldn't have been in more games, with the blowouts that we were a part of. As for Peters, have you seen his film? Do you even know why kind of a QB he is? Do you know ANYTHING about him, other than his name? Peters is the total package. If Harbaugh played true freshman QB's, then Peters would've been our starter this year. Harbaugh even redshirted Andrew Luck, so don't come at me with the 'well, if he was good enough, he would've played' because no. It wasn't happening. Even if he was the best QB in spring, which was a rumor at some point.

I agree that the play action in the end zone was a bad call. As for 'what about the other 10 that he didn't miss' .. that's weak. Because I counted THREE huge missed blocks on his part, this game alone. Also, if you're in the game for 85% of the offensive snaps, you're obviously gonna convert on more blocks.

As for Onwenu, he played DAMN well in the beginning of the year. It's almost like Harbaugh burned a few redshirts for no reason at all, and he was one of them. Same with Sean McKeon. Same with David Long and Lavern Hill. And a few others. And I don't care what you say, Kyle Kalis is a fukking bum. Period.

Cool under pressure? I'll give you that. But here are some stats for the 6 biggest games from this year.

vs. Colorado: 16/30, 229 yards, 1 TD, 1 FUM (34.4 QBR)
vs. Penn State: 21/34, 189 yards, 1 TD (79.0 QBR)
vs. Wisconsin: 20/32, 219 yards, 1 TD, 1 INT (26.8 QBR)
at Michigan State: 16/25, 244 yards, 1 INT (76.1 QBR)
at Iowa: 11/26, 103 yards, 1 INT (10.5 QBR)
at Ohio State: 23/36, 219 yards, 2 TD, 2 INT, 1 FUM (21.4 QBR)

You think we're gonna win anything with play like that from our QB? Anything of substance I mean? Because I don't.

I love coach Harbaugh. I don't think there's a better man that can lead this program to where we all want it to be. I believe in him, and we'all get there eventually. But do me a favor. Don't be one of those fans that act like we don't know what the fukk we're talking about if we question his moves. I've played and coached football for over 20 years. I may not know it all, but I know my shyt.

Florida had players quit/get suspended before the bowl game, that wasnt necesarily the same team that had a top 10 defense last season. We also had 5th year senior Jake Rudock under center. It's also quite hilarious that you completely ignored Speight's excellent showings versus weaker opposition, yet O'Korn's 7/16 59 yard performance versus Indiana was excused. O'Korn appeared in 8 games this season, and due to the blowout nature of many of our games, he recieved more playing time than most reserves. Not to mention O'Korn has 18 career starts. That's more career starts than Speight. Lack of experience is the wrong excuse to levy on O'Korn. O'Korn had an entire week to get ready for fukking Indiana, and looked horrendous. Peters was considered a lower rated prospect than Shea Patterson across the board, and and Patterson had his growing pains. Start Peters versus Florida, we lose period. We recruit QBs every year so we dont have to throw guys into the fire anymore Tate style

Some Speight criticism is fair some unwarranted.John O'korn starts last Saturday we aren't in position to win that game period. We'll see what happens next spring Peters will be given every opportunity to win the job whether he takes it is a different story. He did impress the staff during spring ball

Brandon Peters was the 2nd rated PRO style quarterback behind Jacob Eason. Shea Patterson was a dual threat. I'm not sure what you're trying to prove there?

O'Korn played in shytty weather the whole game. And don't try to make it seem like I'm riding for O'Korn. I'm not. I just don't think Speight can lead us where we wanna go. Just like I've said before the year even started.

Speight lost us that game on Saturday. Not the refs. Not the OLine. Nothing other than Wilton fukking Speight.

Peters has been in this system for a year and a half now. By the time next season comes along, he'll be in it for 2 and a half seasons.

Peters starts next year. Guaranteed. Harbaugh isn't dumb. Better arm. Better accuracy. Better mobility.

Brandon.

Peters.

Speight had a better game against Ohio State than O'Korn vs Indiana. Speaks paragraphs. I was at the Shane Morris Minnesota game. Shane looked like a High School QB and unprepared to play. O'Korn was that.

Rivals- Patterson 3, Peters 158
ESPN- Patterson 15, Peters 60

Everything else said about Peters is complete guessing. I'd expect benching an all Big Ten QB for a freshman from Ohio St level fans, not foolishness from you.

Compare Speight against Ohio State and O'Korn against Indiana in shytty weather brehs.

And who's all big ten? If you say Speight, then you're making shyt up.

Also, why leave off 24/7 rankings? Where Patterson ahead of Peters, but not by the margin of wacky sites like rivals and espn? :heh:
