How? Utah has way better offenses than Iowa.
Prior to him inexplicably trying to make his son (Brian) QBC, Ferentz's offenses were fine and he put multiple QBs into the NFL.
Anyway he's a defensive minded coach who runs the football, fields good special teams, isn't a good recruiter, and is well past his prime. He had the luxury of playing in weak conferences, while Ferentz regularly took down B1G East powers who traveled to Iowa city. Amusingly, Ferentz probably would have been retired by Iowa if they could afford his buyout.
Nope. I'm gon choose to believe what I said, simply because i've already drank too damn much, and I cant drink no more
Whittingham to Michigan feels like Beilein to the Cavs: some old guy seeing if he could coach at the next level before retiring.
I view him as an exalted interim, someone hired to bridge the gap until the new AD is in place to make the real hire down the road. Hopefully his washed up ass is smart enough to hire competent staffers who know the area instead of people he's comfortable with. We don't need any Jonathan Smith comparisons.
Meadows and Hiter are locked in, that’s all I care about. Everyone else replaceable
That's the saving grace of the NIL/revenue share era. Shout out to Sean Magee for those contracts, I heard Hiter's was front loaded.
