Yea I read all that. It’s a tricky situation. Cause yea, he brought in Scalley to be the HCIW, but he never felt the full need to retire, cause he still wanted to coach. I get the. Utah made an executive decision to nudge him out, because apparently Scalley was growing impatient. That’s why the guys that nudged Whitt out get paid the big bucks. To make decisions like that. Only time will tell if it was the right move.@Trust Me From what I've read Whittingham was wishy washy about his retirement. On one hand, he was the one who wanted his protegé Morgan Scalley to be his successor; on the other, he wanted to coach past the age he said he'd retire (65). He was opposed to the PE partnership, but Utah told him they were going through with it anyway and that gave him the impression he was wearing out his welcome.
I see a whole lot coming out from Utah beat writers too. Funny thing is, no one ever heard of anything like that with regard to Whitt in the past. So now, all of a sudden he’s petty?Apparently he's known for being a petty dude who holds grudges. The Utah and BYU beat writers are hoping he "keeps it professional" with respect to taking coaches/players with him from both schools instead of going scorched earth.
Honestly who knows. We were salty as fukk when Harbaugh took 80% of his staff with him, and left us in shambles too. But at the end of the day, he didn’t owe us or the school a damn thing. Same can be said for Whitt and Utah.
I’m excited about the hire. I think he can give us a good 5 years. Stabilize the program. Being discipline back to our team. And get them back to being a pain in the ass to play against. These past two years were nothing like what Michigan became under Jim. We’ll be on our way back in no time.

. We’re laughing at the fact that no coaches answered your phone calls except 1 of 2 who weren’t employed. A 70 year old retiree at that .
Mental gymnastics in full affect by your whole fanbase. Nobody wanted that shytty job
