I know I'm running the risk here of sounding like a crybaby, but some of the stuff you do in games is questionable. Taking off thru 3rd when the ball was almost there is taking advantage of the fact that the computer is slow to get rid of the ball unless it's a double play situation and is very unrealistic. I know you will say "don't swing", but throwing in the dirt and throwing high fastballs with 2 strikes are known cheese tactics in this game and people have been complaining about that since forever. I can somewhat live with the pitches because I just have to learn to layoff, but taking advantage of the computer faults by doing unrealistic things really bugs me cause I try to play the game as close to what you really see on a baseball field as possible.
With all that being said...I will continue to play and possible even whine and cry a little bit more.

I have a habit of holding onto the L1 button sometimes. But I'll take note of that

Yeah, the controls get a little confusing when you try to take over just one base runner.
