Check youtube, Sherdog, or Bloody Elbow; they grasping at straws.

how can you say sonnen is way different of a threat and he would be stupid to face him in short time just to turn around and say he is no threat and you would beat him badly?? if you were so sure of that you would have just took the fight.. he was being overly cautious but wants to call it anything but that.. and he has gotta see him as a legit threat if he would go against the whole ufc just to avoid fighting him.. but :yeshrug:

sounds dumb to say no ones mad at machida when its way different circumstances. he is not the champion and another loss to the bones would be putting him as a gatekeeper in lhw or having to cut weight to mw, real career trouble.. if jones would have managed to get held down by sonnen for 5 rounds (:beli:) he would most likely get a rematch

just cracks me up when a couple of yall are in here like "i love that jones is pissing people off!" or "bones sure is putting these people in their place" lol he's just looking corny in this whole thing, bones turns down a fight with a mw saying he needs time to train for them specifically just to call them a non threat and would smash them.. Next fight: a less deserving mw..

Breh, dude explained in the interview about how he likes to completely see everything that his oppenent does. He broke down the science behind it, but that just aint good enough is it? No matter what Bones says or does, people like you will still say "bu bu hes a corny ass nikka" or somethin to that effect.

Its a different situation when youre the challenger turning down a fight, but when youre the champ you have the descretion to do so. And do you fully expect a grown ass man to not say hes gonna whoop somebodys ass? :aicmon:

Yall nikkas grasp for straws when it comes to discrediting Jones. Turning down the fight wasnt the best of looks, but nobody is hopping on Shogun, Machida or the other nikkas that turned down the fight.

Jon turns down a new opponent w/ 8 days to gameplan....he's a b!tch.....but...

Machida and Shogun turn down a new opponent that they've fought before...and it's for THE TITLE and they have approximately a month to gameplan....shrewd businessmen :birdman:

OK...had to vent...anyway:

Aldo had a motorcycle accident and suffered cuts and a swollen foot but he'll be fine for the main event.

so whats the problem with how i view this situation then?? i dont think yall understand this fight game shyt.. this shyt is to see who is the best fighter.. picking and choosing your opponents to rise through the rankings and get a shot at the title is common.. no one blames up and coming fighters for that type of shyt..

Jones is the fukkin champion already with a couple defenses.. he doesnt need to be ducking anyone, the champ is suppose to be the best at that weight.. "he doesnt deserve the shot" "he does different takedowns then henderson" wtf does that have to do with you not wanting any parts of sonnen??? When you ask him he will tell you yeah he was a wild advantage over sonnen and that he is just being extra careful not to fukk up his money.. this is no hate just calling out some shyt that is taboo in the fight industry

why would anyone be mad at shogun and machida?? playing stupid will get people mad.. its pretty much them bowing down to jones saying we are not even ready to get back in the cage with this dude yet.. is that what jones is saying about sonnen?? couldnt be right so we left thinking wtf is wrong with dude.. i dont hate dana enough to start defending him out here

I'm glad Aldo's manager told him to stay off the motorcycle.

Sara McMann has signed with Strikeforce, they need more future opponents for Ronda

Lorenz Larkin gets the next shot at Luke Rockhold's MW belt, will join the Cormier/Mir Nov card for Strikeforce.

Jones should have taken the Sonnen fight, but I can understand why he didn't. In a fight with Sonnen, he had the chips stacked heavily in his favor. Not only did he have a full training camp [while Sonnen did not], Sonnen is stylistically a very easy match-up for Jones. But, what can you do :manny:

Are you implying that Machida or Shogun should've taken the Jones fight? It would've been insane [on their part] if they did accept the fight. Shogun and Machida's next shot at Jones [and the LHW title] is very likely going to be their last. To fully prepare for Jones, both fighters still have a lot of work/training to do, something that will not be accomplished in three weeks (very little training is done in the week leading up to the fight). Taking a short notice fight with Jones is career suicide [in the LHW division] for either fighter.

Damn! They're snubbing Jacare'???

UFC Tonight just aired a 30 minute interview w/ Dana.....he said that he doesn't remember Jon asking him to make Sonnen stop making comments about him. He confirmed that Silva said he'd fight at 151 to save the card but Dana didn't want Silva to fight on 8 day's notice.:what:

He said he's feeling good about a 180 catchweight b/w GSP and Silva that would probably take place @ JerryWorld and was vague about a potential Fedor-Lesnar fight in the future.

Yeah but from what i understand, Chael is talking about some stuff in Jones private life that very few people know about, one being Rashad,....that is kind of below the belt imo
how do you know that? its not like sonnen hasnt made a comment/joke that only he would understand that no one else does before
It is, that is why i dislike Rashad- he is a very sneaky hater -
any resentment he feels towards jones is just and their beef should be viewed as an isolated incident..Other than jones who has rashad hated on? dont tell me callin out rampage on his sambo act is "hatin"
Sara McMann has signed with Strikeforce, they need more future opponents for Ronda
If there was any doubt before strikeforce is practically wrestling challenge and invicta is a dark match (joined in progress) this is it.I think conean presence (even tho shes regressed) and mcann's undefeated streak are the only 2 s/ls that gives invicta relevance. Take those 2 angles and its just a female titan fighting championships..Its a shame coker and the rest of the incompetent goons at SF are going to fuk up mcann's progression with bonehead matchmaking
Lorenz Larkin gets the next shot at Luke Rockhold's MW belt, will join the Cormier/Mir Nov card for Strikeforce.
need a say more :snoop:

So a dude who is unable to articulate a response to Jones telling the truth in his interview, resorts to bringing up irrelevant stuff from his private life and putting him on blast because he is butt hurt? how is that just? Sonnen's mouth has no filter and he goes over the top and i am glad he got chin checked by Silva- Rashad is imo a sneaky hater, whatever issues he had with Jones/Jackson camp he could have settled it in the fight but how did that go for him? not too well and, if i remember correctly, living in a glass house, Rashad shouldn't be throwing stones. I remember, with a big smile on his face, Rashad making smart azz comments about Hendo before his fight with Bisping. Rashad felt he needed to put himself in the mix by :cape: for Sonnen and saying he was with him for the last few weeks and was not training. Like i said earlier, i wont be surprised if Rashad or Dana are instigating this

Recap of Danas interview from the OG forum

UFC President Dana White on UFC 151 being cancelled: “I had my moment where I was upset. One of the things that I like is our consistency. We’ve never cancelled an event. People don’t realize the collateral damage that goes on and how many people who are depending on these events to go on. Not just the fighters and the UFC. So many other people who work for, or are invested in these shows and this this the first time we’ve ever cancelled one, so that’s a little emotional.”

White on if he has any regrets cancelling UFC 151: “No regrets whatsoever.”

White on if Dan Henderson is to blame for UFC 151 being cancelled: “Dan Henderson knew two weeks before the fight. Two weeks before he told me he was injured, he knew. And if he had given me those two weeks, like he should have, this fight might have happened.”

White on if Chael Sonnen talked his way to a title shot: “He was the only guy to accept the fight with Jon. He’s the only one willing to step up. It’s one thing if you’re trying to talk your way over a bunch of people because you talked, but the reality is he’s the only guy who’s ever come close to beating Anderson Silva. And he was the only guy to step up and take the fight with Jones. Not only did he accept the fight, he said ‘I’ll flight out to Las Vegas and fight him tonight.’ And Chael says some crazy stuff, but he meant it. The guy was going to show up with no training camp, with eight days and he was going to show up and train.”

White on if Jon Jones and Chael Sonnen will fight down the road: “He was the guy who stepped up. If the fans wanted to see the fight between Chael and Jon Jones, I’d have to make it.”

White on the pitfalls of the business and cancelling a fight: “We spent two-million dollars in advertising for 151. It’s a business and I have to deal with it. Every day when I wake up, bad things are going to happen and I’ve got to deal with them. I’m proud to say this is the first time we’ve ever had to cancel an event. We’ve always been able to scramble and put it back together good enough to make the fans happy, or sometimes make the fight even better than before. You think we wanted to cancel the first event ever? No way in hell.”

White on what happened to the other fighters who were supposed to fight at UFC 151: “Some of the guys are booked to fight right away and the guys who are booked later are getting compensated.”

White on Anderson Silva offering to fight at UFC 151: “What happened was when he found out things weren’t going right, he said he’d to fly to Vegas to fight somebody and defend his title. I would never call the pound-for-pound best fighter in the world and ask him to fight in eight days, and who’s really going to fight Anderson on eight days’ notice? Maybe Chael – he’d be in all these fights. But I’d never do that to a guy.”

White on his relationship with Jones: “We haven’t talked since the incident. I’ve got no animosity towards Jones. We’ll find out how our relationship is as we move on. This thing is a little weird. It’s never happened before. Jon is a young guy and he’s made mistakes that young people make. Who doesn’t at his age? If I went back to being 23 years old with a ton of fame and a ton of money, that’s when you make all your mistakes. The great thing about making your mistakes in your 20s is by the time you’re established yourself in your late 20s and 30s, you’ve already made all your mistakes and you can conduct yourself the way you should. I give Jon Jones a lot of slack. The guy is young. I’m never going to tell you because Jon Jones didn’t fight in 151 that he’s a terrible fighter. He’s a phenomenal fighter. Anyone who’s watched the UFC long enough and knows my personality, they know how I am. I’ve dealt with the baddest dudes in the world for the last 12 years, and that’s what I like doing. I like fighters. I like how they think. They can be a little hard to deal with, but that’s part of the game.”

White on Lyoto Machida turning down the fight at UFC 152: “When I make a fight, I don’t say a word until everything is signed. I did exactly what I never do. That big media call was the next day and Machida couldn’t be reached and his manager thought he’d take the fight. Before this happened he was terrorizing me for a title shot, and then he said four weeks wasn’t enough. But then things start going in another direction. It happened to Rashad Evans. He was out of a fight for a year and a half. Machida is not next in line now. He will need to go fight somebody else first.”

White on Vitor Belfort fighting at UFC 152: “Vitor is fired up to have this opportunity. Number one, he’s the only Brazilian to step up and take this fight. Number two, that Anderson Silva fight drives him crazy. So he dove right in. He knows that when an opportunity comes, you take it and do what you have to do to get ready. You take it because you don’t know when it’s going to come again. He called asking for this fight. I think Vitor is incredibly talented and can finish a fight with anybody. The problem with Vitor is he freezes a lot. He’ll go out and stare at you instead of letting his hands go. If he goes out and does what he can do and Jon Jones does what he can do, regardless of what happened with 151, that should be a sick fight.”

White on Brian Stann vs. Michael Bisping at UFC 152: “It’s an incredibly important fight. As soon as you start saying what’s next for Anderson Silva, something pops up and there’re tons of guys who are ready to fight him in the mix and we’ll see what happens.”

White on whether Chris Weidman will fight for the title: “No. We’ll see what happens. It could happen.”

White on Georges St-Pierre vs. Anderson Silva: “I think we’re pretty close. If Georges beats Condit, that could be the next fight. These guys want to fight each other now. They’d probably do the fight at 180. If that fight happens, it’ll probably be at Dallas Texas stadium.”

White on if he’ll make a Brock Lesnar vs. Fedor Emelianenko fight: “The question on the website was ‘Could Dana make this fight?’ Then I asked if people wanted to see this fight? I was asking the question. I’ve done so much to get Fedor in the UFC. But the guy retired. I couldn’t get him when he was fighting. I don’t know if I could get him now.”

Rest of the videos are on the Fueltv youtube channel
FUEL TV - YouTube

:wtf:- now he is trying to blame Hendo when dude was working through the injury to carry on with the fight? Blaming everyone but the UFC
White on if Dan Henderson is to blame for UFC 151 being cancelled: “Dan Henderson knew two weeks before the fight. Two weeks before he told me he was injured, he knew. And if he had given me those two weeks, like he should have, this fight might have happened.”

:wow:
White on if Jon Jones and Chael Sonnen will fight down the road: “He was the guy who stepped up. If the fans wanted to see the fight between Chael and Jon Jones, I’d have to make it.”

you see you making too much sense for these stans.. according to this thread we should be on machida and shoguns head. fighting the largest lhw with knockout power/subs/gnp = fighting a mw with pillow hands and only wrestling

You obviously got an agenda here so ima just let you spout nonsense

and please, tell us how YOU know more about the fight game then the rest of us :troll:
