unlike boxing (which has a diverse crowd) an ethnic cant play heel like brock/chael do cuz it slashes their box office appeal.See these devils would sooner skip the guy's fights altogether than pay to see him lose.
Maybe its to do with the fact a large sector of ufc's fanbase is made up of teens/college types that are restrained financially.Or maybe it just harkens to the fact most so called mma fans are really just in it to live vicariously through the fighters (that share their likeness)
Koscheck and rashad are the closest things, we have seen evans numbers when he isnt opposing a draw and its. And kos has never really had to headline ppvs on his own like that so his appeal is really unknown but I doubt mma will ever have a money mayweather
I feel what youre saying, but the fact that everything that Bones does burns these white folks souls will only help him. He doesnt have to be a Chael Sonnen type where hes running his mouth, he just has to not give a fukk what they say. More of a Tito type. They will tune in just to watch him lose.

UFC has always brought guys back when they win some on the regional circuit. Varner is only 27 and was the former WEC Champ. He was a no-brainer to bring back and he proved it when he KO'd the Barboza hype train.

But was rashad not tito "lite"? he antagonized his opponents pre fight.Would taunt them in fight while keepin it civil with fans.Yet he was still hated and it didnt translate into a makin him a hot ticket in his own right.It will just never happen in a sport that by in large has mostly white fans.
I mean u see how the media demonize blacks as crims, right? yet for some reason history glorifies notorious white killers like manson, jesse james e.t.c Steroid scandal breaks out in MLB all the white sluggers are exposed, it stings but its glossed over and they're absolved. Whereas the black guy becomes the face of the whole scandal?
