Jon Jones and Chael Sonnen to coach 'TUF,' fight in April

..what a joke. I hate both the motherfukkers but I hope Chael wins. Even though he can't. There's no possible way. ZERO. He can't hold Jones down for 5 rounds and win a decision. He's going to get fukked up badly in the 1st round. This will be two MW's in a row for Jones.

^^Yeah I agree, Sonnen poses no threats to Bones stylistically and has done NOTHING at LHW to deserve a title shot. I wish Hendo would have just gotten the shot, he at least has power in his hands and had a classic match with Shogun.

Only reason Chael is getting a shot is because he is good at running his mouth, Dana likes him, and this will help TUF which is beyond :flabbynsick: I've watched every season and I had to go ahead and throw this season in the bushes. Especially since Bellator comes on the same day and is much more entertaining.

Now this will only back up contenders more as the winner of Hendo/Machida will have to wait awhile.

Anderson Silva: I’d prefer GSP over Jones, it’s an easier fight | UFC NEWS MMA News | Mixed Martial Arts | UFC News | BJPenn | MMA Fight | UFC Fights

I do hope Anderson retires soon mainly because there's nothing left for him, Weidman stylistically would be fun but I can understand why Silva doesn't see the point. GSP has tried to made it clear he really isn't feeling fighting a cat basically 2 weight classes bigger which I don't personally have issue with. Anderson doesn't wanna fight Jones for basically similar reasoning. He wants to put himself in the list advantageous position for his career/legacy.

I knew Sonnen would troll his way into a title shot

The chael preferential treatment aside this is another sore point that makes ufc look bad. We already saw silva run thru these guys so why would we want to see what would happen if they faced an entry level striking silva with greater height/reach + wrestling

Dont be naive ben saunders is bigger than silva and hes a WW.Silva even said hed cut to 170 to make it happen..If the cut is too much then at worse wouldnt silva gas during the fight? but gsp isnt about to take that chance because he needs to speak to his sponsors first= yellah belly..And silva reluctance to fight jones has nothing to do with jones's size.Hes just not a fan of wrestlers and has seen jones's g&p

When Anderson is in fight shape, he's around 200 pounds. On fight night [with Shields] GSP was 193 pounds. On the other hand, Anderson was 197 pounds during his fight with Sonnen (the latest one). So when GSP is in shape, he's around 190 pounds, while Anderson in shape is around 200 pounds. In comparison, Bones is around 225-230 pounds when he's in fight shape. GSP/Andy are not two weight classes apart.

The man behind Georges St-Pierre

GSP's coach saying that he cuts 25 pounds and that he's 192-193 pounds on fight night.

Jornal Extra - Notícias do Brasil, Mundo, TV, Esporte, Concurso e Trabalho - Extra Online

Article stating Anderson beginning his weight cut at 197 pounds.

Naive? :childplease: Chill

Saunders and Silva are two completely different animals man  You don't like GSP which you've repeatedly made clear post for post and would like to see him get smashed by a guy with just about every advantage in his favor. I ain't mad at ya. I've got cats I love seeing get mauled too. But his reasoning for not wanting to fight Anderson are similarly rooted in Anderson's for not wanting to fight Jones. They've both got a LOT to lose by potentially getting wrecked in a super fight. Legacy/sponsor wise

I'm honestly bored with super fight talk at this point tho. Silva is 37 and is starting to sound really checked out in interviews so if he wants to coast and make $$$ I salute him because he's earned it. I just don't like him picking and choosing contenders. Vacate the belt since its honestly almost a moot point nowadays, cats don't even say "I wanna be middleweight champ, they say I wanna beat Anderson. That's crazy when you think on it.

I am not talking about sklillset here. You made a quip about jones being unwilling to take the fight like anderson was never a ww.Or that someone bigger than him isnt actively fighting there.
You don't like GSP which you've repeatedly made clear post for post and would like to see him get smashed by a guy with just about every advantage in his favor.
how would silva have every advantage in his favour when he is said to walk around at a natural weight of mid 200lbs and would be cutting to 170 :why:

This isnt about wanting to see gsp get smashed I am just not impressed by him and think hes the biggest fraud going.A simple meaningful catchweight fight or a move in weight irrespective of his style would open my eyes. But the guy is content to grind out 5 rd Ds against all comers no matter their skill :scusthov:

You cant compare the 2 situations cuz anderson has accomplished more with less zuffa marketing behind him.He is also older and closer to retirement so is in charge of his destiny and has less to prove.GSP "needs" a superfight against someone other than pudgy LWs.Anderson doesnt need to face another LHW

Not really considering the amount of time hes held on to it, the 2 things are mutual exclusive..

No worries man, my bad. It's sometimes tough to tell tone from text.

We might just have to agree to disagree on GSP vs Silva for now at least I don't wanna keep throwing up walls of text over it :russ:

I do see your point about GSP making cats seem better than they actually are by fighting to their level and point fighting. It's frustrating to watch and getting tougher to defend his rank standing based on it.

For all the flack he gets Silva lets it be known in the cage when a cat shouldn't have been signed against him. Which I almost wonder sometimes if Georges is capable of anymore.
