Someone posted on BloodyElbow and I thought it was a good idea, adding a weight class between LW and WW.

Right now the weight classes are 125/135/145/155/170/185/205/265

I think that it makes sense to add a 165 division for guys that are too big for LW but too small for WW(Diaz, Cerrone to a lesser degree), plus it gives them another title fight to sell. If the HW division wasn't so weak I would make a case for a 225 division but HW is slim pickings already. Most of the top 15 are on the wrong side of 30. I'd adjust WW to go to 175, so it'd look something like: 125/135/145/155/165/175/185/205/(225)/265

I disagree, Frankie got fukked over, He's very deserving of a title fight at this point. dude has put in decent work since the aldo loss, every time they needed him like teh Faber/BJ fight's he did it no question asked.

Cub at the time was on a tear with his six fight streak(pearson,stephens,Prioior to name a few) and he took care of him with ease. Then many thought that Chad was the best FW behind aldo and was the first to show that mcgregor was beatable. outside of the GOAT knee from Aldo, Chad has never been KO clean like that. Now frankie got some hands.

at this point, what more he gotta do? Mcgregor not defending his belt further holds shyt up and its not comparable to Anderson who really did clean out the division

i agree holloway is on a tear but hes just missing that top 5 guy from his resume, i think more people are pissed because the Diaz rematch makes no sense apart from some $$ where he could have defended his belt agaist frankie. Think thats the main reason for the backlash and dikkriding for frankie

Thats fine, but i haveno problem with Aldo vs Frankie for the interim. No problem atall. let them make people wanna see them vs Mcgregor. This is a consumer business, people pay for these fights, you give people what they wanna fukking see. Frankie is a bad bad man. But he's boring, so is Aldo. They show up, generate no buzz but wanna get paid. How many large events has Connor saved when he could have dropped out like his opponents did? Thats why Dana and Lorenzo are giving him this.

They all publicly gone on record multiple times saying they would step up and fight her. And I doubt they are afraid since they aren't the usual cans/over weight flyweights Cyborg usually feast on. You mean to tell me out of all those fighters, the lowest skilled BW(who just had a competitive fight with Rin Naki of all people) in the division was the only one they could pull? It's a showcase fight pure and simple

It's funny this Frankie talk started only after McGregor beat Mendes and Aldo...

When McGregor was destroying Brendao, Swanson, and Siver, people were saying "let him fight a wrestle who can punch like Mendes"....Frankie's name wasn't even buzzing...

Out of the blue dude is suddenly an MMA God being ripped off....Frankie is a good "I fight to get points first" type of fighter...He is NOT the "killer" a minority of the MMA fan base is trying to prop him up to be...

(1)I like the direction Dana and McGregor are taking for the UFC...They are letting EVERY fighter know, "If you really want it, come get it"...

We don't have to wait 10 years to see fights that can be made a few days, if the fighters REALLY want to fight...

Conor is a move forward fighter going for the kill, Nate is a move forward fighter who fights harder when you bring the fight to him...It is a MUCH BETTER fight than a Frankie "play it safe and try to win by points first fighter"...

I am NOT interested in seeing McGregor vs Edgar any time soon...After the Nate fight, McGregor should fight Aldo (I hope Aldo beats Edgar)...Edgar is only exciting when an aggressive fighter takes him to deep waters...He comes in to win by points, so it is not a GUARANTEED good fight like Aldo or Diaz...
