Rousimar Palhares and Joey Beltran were flagged after their fights this past month in Australia and have been suspended for nine months by the UFC.

UFC officials late Thursday announced the suspensions in an official statement.

Palhares, the UFC said, tested positive for elevated testosterone levels. And Beltran tested positive for nandrolone, a banned steroid.

What say ya'll about this whole rape situation in the Team Lloyd Irvin camp

Matthew Maldonado, Nicholas Schultz accused in New Year's Eve rape | WJLA.com

Funny that he was also arrested and tried for gang rape in 1990 but was acquitted because he was impotent

Not a good look for Team Lloyd Irvin

Decency: Real Issue In Rape Trial - Daily Press

I'm glad I wasn't on the jury that had to decide whether Terrence Gatling and Lloyd Irvin Jr. were guilty of gang-raping a 17-year-old Hampton University freshman.

Although the jurors found Gatling guilty of forcible sodomy, there was not enough evidence to convict either man of rape.

Still, when the three-day rape trial ended Monday, the defendants had revealed too much about themselves to be let off the hook for what happened Oct. 7 in Gatling's apartment.

On that evening a 17-year-old girl agreed to go to dinner with a group of male college students she barely knew. Then she agreed to go to an apartment with them for a party. Somewhere along the line she drank some booze.

By the end of the night, at least seven men had had sex with her. Neither Gatling, who is 21, nor Irvin, who is 20, tried to talk any of them out of it. Instead, they joined in. Or tried.

Irvin was saved by the fact that the jury believed he was impotent when it was his turn.

from what i've seen i think that Comcast and Cox are the two that dont get it on the actual channel, only On Demand. So it may not work. (i pay for the channel so i can't check.)

Everyone else gets it, DTV, Dish, Verizon, AT&T etc all get the actual channel to watch the event live.

I really hope Barnett comes over to the UFC despite his issues in the past, he is still a top 10 HW and can beat a lot of the HW's in the UFC. Don't see him ever being a champion though.

Cormier is going to be a big star, just a question if it will be at HW or LHW once he gets to the UFC.

I like Nate in the main event, but I have been a fan of Tarec since his time on the Strikeforce Challenger series. One of the few prospects they brought along, has very good technical striking and I always enjoy fighters who can bring out some flashy techniques like Brazilian kicks. Has really solid takedown defense as well, but not a lot of power and Nate has fought and beaten better fighters.

Have to say I am really looking forward to the return of Gegard after having not fought in so long, one of my favorite fighters I discovered in DREAM and although he hasn't reached the levels of success so many had him pegged for early on he is still very young. If the changes he made to his training regime are true and he fights with some type of gameplan he can be a big star. He certainly has the skills.

I wanted to write some type of preview for this on the blog, but didn't have time. Maybe I will do something after the event, depending on how it goes.

On some other news, Invicta is leaving my backyard of Kansas City and heading to California for their 5th show in April with Jessica Penne defending her belt against Michelle Waterson. Would be great if they have some kind of TV deal by then.

Not sure how many people saw the DREAM/GLORY NYE show, but one of the prospects to come out of it was Will Brooks with his impressive performance over Satoru Kitaoka

He will be a part of the upcoming Bellator LW tourney, definitely a fighter to keep an eye out for.

Was supposed to be April 13th but Shannon Knapp said they have to change the date because the UFC announced a card for the same date....hmmmmm only a matter of time before the announce that UFC buys out Invicta...if they are not backing them already.
