I didn't know Stann and Silva were fighting @ LHW next saturday on FuelTV...why are they doing this? I don't see either doing much @ LHW. Fun fight, though.

And Struve's fighting Hunt and Okami's fighting Lombard....this card seems insanely stacked by Fuel or even FX's standards.

Who yall got? I have no idea who's gonna win the fights I mentioned...if it was @ MW, I'd definitely say Stann but it's at 205 and a past his prime Silva looked decent there while Stann was getting beat by everybody @ that weight class. The FOX deal from, at least, a purely selfish point of view is :lawd:

:dwillhuh: at the fight being a light heavyweight bout

but hopefully Mark hunt(huge fan due to em being samoan) gets some wins. I think Wandy gonna have one last last murderer in him with this fight

But the card is stacked, even the prelims (Fukuda/taraves... Bruce lee roy/Ho Gyan kim) are :whoo:

Idk that's a good question. Wandy is beyond :flabbynsick: and Stann can definitely knock his dome off into next week. But Stann always chokes in big fights so it could go either way. I got Strueve by sub against Hunt.

If this card had a true main event (nothing against Silva/Stann), it would be a really good PPV.

I have a feeling this is going to a bad night for the fan favorites [Silva, Hunt and Gomi]. I hope I'm wrong :(

Stann packs power and has a good chin, not a good mix for someone like Wandy [whose chin is shot]. Stann via TKO.

Struve is going to take the fight to the ground, where he has a huge advantage. I don't see Hunt surviving [if it hits the floor]. Struve via SUB.

Lombard is a horrible match-up for Okami. Okami's biggest weapon [his control on the ground] will be completely neutralized by Lombard. Lombard is going to shrug off Okami's takedown attempts and will proceed to finish him. Lombard via TKO.

I don't know anything about Hirota, so I can't really say too much about this next fight. Yahya is an absolute beast on the ground, so I got him winning via SUB

Siyar is a fellow countrymen of mine, but I don't see him getting passed Kim's suffocating ground game  Kim via DEC.

Stann is kinda slow and flat footed, I keep telling myself maybe that will help Wandy but then I remember so were Hendo and Leben. It's in Japan tho maybe we can get one more vintage Wandy.

Struve is going to sub Hunt quickly, basically because its his only choice.

Okami vs Lombard is interesting simply because Yushin has a way of making people who are usually dynamic look bad. I can't stand Lombard but I hope he puts the paws on Okami

Like @meelad92 said this is nearly ppv worthy of a card.

Okami's a big middleweight, though...I think he'll give Lombard difficulties just for that....

But I could see Okami getting "Boetsched" again in his home country:demonic:

Good undercard, horrible main card, no wonder dis is a Fuel fight and its in Japan. I have a feeling that Lombard/Okami fight may win most boring fight of da year. Sucks dat they put Lombard against Okami, he's da new jon fitch.

:wtf:

Stann/Wand [Two finishers who love to stand and trade. Guarenteed fireworks]

Struve/Hunt [Again, both finishers. When was the last time these guys put on a bad fight. Potential KOTN or SOTN.]

Gomi/Sanchez [Gomi packs power, while Sanchez has an iron chin. This easily has the potential to be the fight of the night. In his last 7 fights, Sanchez has won 5 fight of the night awards, along with one fight of the year award.]

Okami/Lombard [This has the potential to be a lackluster fight if Okami is able to impose his will. I don't see it happening at all though, Lombard's base and Judo is just too good. Early candidate for KOTN.

Hirota/Yahya [Like I mentioned, I don't know anything about Hirota, but Yahya is an absolute wizard on the ground. Close to 90% of Yahya's wins have come via submission. Not only that, he's finished fighters with virtually every sub you can think of. From peruvian necktie to north-south choke to armbar to arm-triangle to americana to triangle to ezekial to rear naked to guillitione.]

Siyar/Kim [This is the only fight that I feel is going to pretty brutal. Kim is likely going use his judo/wrestling to control Siyar for three rounds. Siyar is a killer though, so I wouldn't be too surprised if he brutally KO's Kim.]

Struve/Hunt is not 2nd last fight of the night quality. 1st fight on main card, yeah. Hunts gonna come out and use his chin to stop punches, Struve will win somehow and it will mean absolutely nothing in the rankings or num1 or even num2 contender ranks even. If Hunt wins, means absolutely nothing in the heavyweight division.

yeah stann is a great guy, former army vet, but his last 3 fights haven't been all that. Even the Sakara fight he finished, but the fight wasnt jaw dropping. the Bisping and Sonnen fights, were ok, nothing special.

Gomi/Sanchez, Diego is gonna have to save this fight n keep it interesting, every1 always talk about how Gomi has power n heavy hands, but since he's come to the UFC, what has he done really? Where's da impressive knockout, or close win? Beating Mac Danzig via split, come on. oh he beat up Mitsuoka, who da hell cares about Mitsuoka. Shoot he let Guida finish em, the gate keeper of all gate keepers.

and Okami we all already know wha he gonna try to do, and Lombard is a great grappler, so i'm gonna b witnessing a slow grappling match as both fighters r probably gonna b more scared to lose, than trying to win. Hopefully Lombard cn beat em up.

The HW division is very top heavy, there is little depth. The winner of Struve/Hunt is one more solid win away from a title shot. Because of that, this fight is very meaningful in the division. Also, this fight is an excellent co-main for a free card, it's even a good co-main for a PPV. You're expectations are way way too high.

If you can't see how much potential this card has in terms of excitment, then I can't help you breh. Based on memory, this card trumps any other Fuel or FX card we've had.

Are you hammered, you think Mark Hunts old ass is worthy of a Co-main event for a PPV. Now you've lost your mind. Just because a fight is exciting, doesn't make it a good co main event, or even a good card. 90% of the times the undercard fights are more exciting than the main card fights. But the main card fights are the fights that sell. Those are the fights were ppl care who wins and loses, they wanna watch it and see a guy win and become a num1 contender, and see who potential could be facing their favorite champ. If ppl only wanted to see 2 guys stand in the center ring and slug it out, then Elite FX would still be around, and all these trailer park local shows would b making millions.

This card is barely even a Fuel tv fight, if it wasnt in Japan, half dem dudes on the undercard probably wouldnt even be signed to UFC contracts.

This Fuel card is like an all star game of Fuel TV fighter, this will be Struve's 3 fight on Fuel, he's fought on verses and spike tv as well a couple times.

This will be Stanns 2nd fight on fuel, he's fought on versus and spike tv at least 3 or 4 times already. This will be Gomi's 2nd str8 time fighting on Fuel, hes fought on spike and versus as well. Same with Siya 2nd str8 Fuel fight for him. Looks like Dana jus gathered all the 3rd tiered guys throw em in Japan n said Fuel show this crap.

I'm hammered? LOL Let's go through some of what you said:

- 'horrible main card'. This card is probably better than any FX or FUEL card we had.

- 'Struve will win somehow and it will mean absolutely nothing in the rankings... If Hunt wins, means absolutely nothing in the heavyweight division.' Wow, look at my previous post as to why this fight is very relevent to the HW division.

- 'both fighters r probably gonna b more scared to lose, than trying to win.' Lombard is going to be afraid to lose? Do you even watch MMA? LOL

- 'This card is barely even a Fuel tv fight' Look at my first point above.

And somehow, I'm the one that's hammered?

Age is irrelevent in this argument. Hunt/Struve is an important fight in the HW division and it's going to an exciting fight. That is why it's an excellent co-main for a free [FX and FUEL] card or a decent to good co-main for a PPV. Is that so hard to understand. Find me a co-main fight on an FX or FUEL card that is easily better than this fight.

@ bolded, we're arguing about the main card .

This fight card is legit better then the last PPV. Very exciting fighters. Plus almost every fight could have a finish. And Okami is not fitch. They both have heavy top games but Okami's GnP is miles better. Plus he can finish when he truly wants to

This is the best Fuel card imo and a great card in general.

Struve has the longest win streak (4)in the HW division right now and Hunt has the 2nd longest (3). This a huge fight for the HW division.

Only fight i don't like is Siyar VS Dong. I think Stungun is just going to rape Siyar.
