I like how Belfort has fought in Brazil the last 3 of his 4 fights. Nothing to do with TRT... I have no problems with TRT use but not by known roiders.

Yeah good point. Weidman VS Belfort was trying to be made by Silva but Weidman turned it down (ducked to the top). I really wanted that fight. I was bummed that Weidman avoided it. I'd love to see it and actually think it would be better now. I hope Weidman loses to Silva and we still get to see this fight somehow.

Mousasi and Vitor have a tiny history as well. They had a fight proposed in Affliction after Vitor challenged Fedor when his opponent was hurt. Mousasi tried to fight Vitor at catchweight but Vitor turned it down. (I think that's all right. I"m going by memory but it's been a few years.)

I also think people are forgetting about Munoz. Imo you'll be SHOCKED how fast the UFC moves him up the ladder if he beats Boetsch. He's still ranked highly even after all this time and a loss.

yeah, thats the fight I really wanted to see, Weidman vs Belfort. I felt that Weidman should've had to earn that title shot, and it would b ea good test for Weidman, as if he can't handle Vitor's stand up, no point in fightin da champ.

Munoz 100% will get moved up quickly, every1 likes him, he trains n coaches alot of these fighters, so ufc will b good to him still for a bit. Jus sux dude has zero chin or stand up defense. hes jus a great wrestler.

breh's to this day i still dont think weidman has the credentials of a title shot, if you look at all his wins in the UFC

sakara (lower end middleweight)
Jesse Bongfeldt(never had a win in the ufc)
Tom Lawlor (gatekeeper)
Demian Maia (top 10)
Mark Muñoz (top 10)

if you look at his two biggest wins, maia had an ankle injury going into the fight (couldnt pull out due to the fukkery of reshuffling the card already for UFC on Fox 2)

then the munoz fight you had him coming off that knee surgery and he was looking real :flabbynsick: in that fight.

dude has never beat a top 5 or hot at the moment person in his career but got this title shot :pachaha:

Weidman's pro career hasn't even gotten to it's 10th fight yet...but he gets the all-time great on pay per view...

He's getting the shot b/c of his size and his style...but that's the beauty of MMA...If you're a young guy but you have top level skill in one area, even with only 9 fights, you may be able to exploit your opponent with the one thing you are elite at doing. He's got a shot.

And I disagree with the comment that Munoz is a great wrestler. His takedowns get stuffed alot and he gets taken down by ppl he has no business being taken down by. Initially, Leben was neck and neck wrestling with him. And Okami basically toyed with him everywhere. And don't get me started on his strike resistance. And alot of ppl thought Maia beat him. He really doesn't have a legitimately great win.

He works hard, he hits hard, he fights at a strong pace...but he's probably a better coach/teammate than fighter. I'm not trying to hate on him b/c I don't fight for a living and he's a great guy but...ppl hype Weidman up too much over the Munoz fight, imo.

Those 1st two rounds would be anybody's in my book after that Spider has the edge. I'm not saying ViTRTor would definitely beat him but he isn't the same fighter (we know why) as the last time they fought.

With or without TRT, Vitor is not beating Anderson. I don't see how the first two rounds are anybody's when Andy is the much better fighter. Vitor is successful when he's the aggressor, Anderson feeds on these type of fighters. Vitor wasn't able to land a single solid strike in their first match.

^The chael sonnen impression was the first one I've seen in these animated skits that terribly off. Surprised they couldn't pull off his nasally whiney voice

I agree with most of this post but the bit in bold.If everything goes to script we are in store for an ugly l&p affair. It will be a travesty to see anderson's run end in such a fashion.Weidman is also still unproven as already stated. There is nothing great about a younger bigger wrestler exploiting a senior citizen's wrestling deficency only to lose to a micheal bisbing or something in the next fight

I really don't think Weidman is a lay n pray guy. When he's had full camps he's always finished. i think the fight gets finished one way or the other. Either Silva laser-guides a fist or knee into Weidman's face...or Weidman finishes with a darce or other front choke like a guillotine or an anaconda.

Weidman almost submitted arguably the greatest submission grappler/no-gi BJJ guy in the world right now in Andre Galvao...in 2009 and as a purple belt. I think skill set speaking he has the skills to beat Anderson.

That says so many people have the "skill set" to beat Anderson but yet nobody does. I'm not banking on Silva to go out just yet, and I've been a Weidman fan since 2009 (I still want Silva to win).

I said l&p because weidman has no other way of beating silva, not standing or with jitz u clearly think he can win via submission :leon: cant believe you made a comparison between andre galvao and arguably the greatest mixed martial artist :leon:

Thats the part I jus dont get in this post, so many ppl boostin up Weidman like hes a great finisher and already proven, when he's beaten the likes of Galvao? We talkin a match against the Anderson, and dis dude Weidman gotta prop up victories over Galvao
