He never talks about anderson as a fighter or his legacy he just talks about why he wouldnt take the fight. If you are going to take the fictitious route at least do it with sense

errr for one why would a dude that many say could make HW play into the fandome and call out a damn near 40 yro MW thats been fighting since 97

thats just not sporty..Secondly hes not going to be calling anyone out again after his mask slipped during the whole rashad incident.Make no mistake this phoney wants to be adored

It's not that he won't fight me or I won't fight him. To be dead honest, it's that we both have a lot to lose and we both respect each other a lot and we both are striving for personal greatness. I don't want to crack on his greatness and I don't want him cracking on my greatness. We're in completely different weight classes. We both have sponsor deals and things that are really important to us and a big part of that sponsorship package is winning [and] being a champion. Having us fight each other means one of our championships goes away. I respect Anderson Silva so much that I don't want to be the guy to beat him. I don't want to lose to him either. It's a lose-lose situation for me.
Yeah, let's split hairs now.
Too bad this discussion has been about whether or not Jones is envious of Silva or not. Quit trying to change the rules now. I claimed that Jones idolizes and respects Silva, and posted an interview backing that, you claimed that Jones envies him, yet speculated from a
picture. Who's being fictitious again?
Secondly, I will agree with you on the fact that him facing Silva now wouldn't mean much considering that Anderson's on his way out. ...but again, what's the point of being envious of what Silva has earned? I could understand if he wasn't deserving of his spot, but Jones could be very well on the same path if he keeps it up.
Third, you and I both know that the UFC likes to hype fights up with that WWE rivalry bullshyt, so I take all that stuff with a grain of salt. Besides, his behavior with Rashad is irrelevant with how he gets along with Silva. Aside from your speculation of a picture alone, you have yet to have posted anything backing your statement that Jones envies Silva.

You're just arguing to argue breh. I think Jones receives an awful lot of unwarranted flack IMO...yet another case of "the nail that sticks out the most is hammered down". It's because he's this kid from New York who entered the UFC with little training and has been whooping on the best, of whom have trained and/or fought for a decade if not longer, and that may seem frustrating to elitist MMA fans. I, honestly don't get caught up in all the other personal shyt, I just like to see the fights...but I can't help but notice that people have been reaching like Dhalsim to hate dude. Why can't people just let the boy fight and continue winning, wtf's so wrong with that?
