If the UFC had 7-8 PPVs (instead of 12-13 PPV events) with (their usual) 4 FOX cards and some free cards sprinkled in there, the events would be stacked. Especially, if the fighters can stay healthy (Pettis, Cain, etc). Right now, it seems like we have a fight card every week.

This.

Think back to say UFC 100. There's no way they could pull that type of a card off currently and it's sad.

This made me laugh. I miss Shogun's flying stomps

In terms of a talent rich card, they can make a better event than UFC 100 right now. In terms of buys/hype? I agree, I don't see them matching UFC 100.

:heh: at the picture. Is that photoshopped?

They "could" but what would the next 3 months look like if they threw out all the stars like that currently.

And nope. That's a legit photo supposedly :russ:

Yea UFC should cut the PPVs to major holidays only(superbowl, memorial day, 4th of July) and Fall. Make these fox card more meaningful like this last one where the main event was a title eliminator. The fight pass shyt was just a poor idea. People are not going to pay 10 dollars to see Cole Miller in main events. I know they would hate it, but they need to book and make fights similar to wrestling

Oh and quick thoughts on the card tomorrow. I saw someone mention Brown's streak being overrated. He hasn't beating anyone meaningful in particular but hes a tough fighter with a good chin. Silva is the one whos inconsistent and overrated to me. That fight where he was wailing punches recklessly against Stun Gun was :snoop: I think Brown survives a bumrush by Silva early and finishes him in the second round

Honestly, if every fighter was healthy, I believe the UFC can easily make a card more stacked than 100 without using up half of their stars. The UFC currently has more talent than it did during the UFC 100 days imo (although it currently lacks superstars like Brock and GSP). It's just now, we have way more cards (the talent is more spread out) and injuries have become more and more of a problem.

I think 1 PPV for every 1.5 to 2 months would be ideal imo (however, it wouldn't make sense for the UFC to considerably cut down on their PPVs) FOX cards, for the most part have been meaningful and stacked, but I see where you're coming from.

I think if the UFC irons out the kinks (search bar, missing fights/events) in Fight Pass, it's a pretty decent service. For me personally, it's piff and well worth it. I don't have Sportsnet 360 or Sportsnet One (the channels that air Fight Nights and FOX cards in Canada), so I use Fight Pass for the UFC, WEC, Pride, Strikeforce, etc. catalogue along with watching live Fight Nights, FOX and Fight Pass cards.

I think the Silva/Brown fight can go either way, I'm surprised that some betting sites have Silva as almost at a -250 favorite:dwillhuh: Should be an exciting fight.
