There's more than to the story than soonnen.. Mma junkie also reported the Chris Weidman also offered to take the fight. So jones had options
Yes it's 8 days but jones is being an ingrate.
His first fight in the UFC he got taken a fight on short notice.
He got his title match with shogun on short notice due to injury, 3 weeks, and won.
so the least he could do is take a fight if he's that good...

So no other fighters are in their weight class after the bell rings? I see a small hidden agenda. There was nothing in that fight for him. What the fukk as the champ do i look like fighting somebody that doesnt deserve to step into the cage with me.

Jutt be easy breh breh. These guys just have a difference of opinion and a string up they ass. Every time you pull it they gonna get hot and bothered and give you more lip.

Every fight with Bones is designed to be a mismatch. Chael is a cheater, a loser and whatever else but he's a real fighter. Back when Phil Davis pulled out of a fight against Rashad Evans, the UFC was having trouble finding a replacement. Chael called the UFC and offered to take the fight for no reason other than to do the company a favor.
I don't see what the gains are in Jones turning this fight down either. I know they say he'll be fighting on 9/22 but I doubt that too. It'll be tough to get into Canada with his recent arrest.
The biggest WTF about this is everyone Cuban B'ing the fact that the UFC's trying to sell us on Chael being a viable title contender at 205. fukk outta here.
