Sonnen vs Jones would've happened in Pride, MMA has changed to be more marketed as "sport" rather than "fighting" and that's the UFC's doing, so for they can't blame Jones for treating it as such.

The UFC had to cancel that event with no Jones fight, the card is barely FX level without the main event. Whether or not it's working for their business their model of 3 or 4 events a month is lessening my interest in their shows a lot. I'm not watching 3 or 4 UFC shows a month, and now the PPVs have been watered down from how stacked they used to be 3-5 years ago.

Was Jones worried he was going to be held down for five rounds? Get the fukk outta here. He wasn't going to be stopped with punches. There's ZERO chance of that. He would be subbed.

That's true but Bisping doesn't have as much as Jones to lose. If this was 2 years ago Jones probably wouldve taken a fight like this, there's a lot of money to be made in the future and furthering of the sport from the Jones image, he's smart not to risk it.

Jon Jones had the choice to turn it down... and on 8 days notice. Bisping talking that "Well I did it" shyt and LOST to Sonnen... so he has no room to talk.

I think it's time for MMA fighters to start fighting independently on PPV and make more money on their own like Boxers.

Just by even wanting and asking for a title shot on 8 days notive against a champ is a winner in my book. Everyone is at fault really. But Bones should know that he is supposed to be there "superstar". The dude is sponsored by the UFC. But, everyone who paid there tickets came to see a title fight and the Jones vs. Hendo fight which was heavily marketed. Bones was the "star" of the show, that's why the UFC were able to not have as much big names on this show as Jones is a big enough name to sell the card himself.

true. I'm still heated cuhz I was gonna order this PPV to watch with my fam and friends too. All I know is, whether Bones likes it or not, the dude is now the most hated dude in all of MMA all because of this choice, and his image was already bad, now its at its absolute worst now.
