:heh: Hugs Conor's nuts for fighting anyone, anytime. Slams Holly for fighting anyone, anytime

Did ya'll peep how greasy Dana was talking bout Holm yesterday? Can't stand this dude, he basically talking like her career is over, he can't wait for Ronda to get the strap back.

Dana White: Holly Holm's management to blame for Miesha Tate defeat

UFC president Dana White believes Holly Holm was let down by her management overher loss to Miesha Tate at UFC 196. The defeat cost Holm her bantamweight title and a lucrative rematch with Ronda Rousey, who she beat in November last year. White says the UFC now favor a fight between Tate and Rousey.

White says Holm’s manager, Lenny Fresquez, lost his fighter prestige and money by not including her in talks about the Tate fight.

“The sad part about that is, listen, he’s an old boxing guy who thinks he’s smart, and he’s not,” White told ESPN’s Russillo & Kanell. “It’s one of those things. I feel bad about it. I feel bad for Holly. I don’t know if Holly really knows what she lost. I think she has so much faith in the people that surround her, she feels like, ‘Well, they got me this far.’

“We had this meeting, and Holly wasn’t even in it. Holly, that’s your life. You should be in that meeting. Don’t leave it to these people. Anyway, Holly made a lot of money. She accomplished great things, she beat Ronda Rousey. But it could have been so much bigger for her, and the sad part is, I don’t think she even knows it.”

Holm had said before UFC196 that she wasn’t willing to wait for a rematch with Rousey, who wanted to hold out until after the summer to fight again. And Fresquez told ESPN that Holm’s fight with Tate was a “team decision”.

“Of course, she knows,” Fresquez said. “It was a team decision, and Holly is the boss. She wanted to fight, and she got her wish. I think she’ll fight Miesha or Ronda next. That’s my personal feeling, but who knows what the UFC has cooking? Holly was dominant in that fight against Miesha except for the second and fifth round. She paid for it. Hat’s off to Miesha for capitalizing.

“What happens next is the UFC’s decision. All I can speak to are Holly’s wishes. Holly wants to fight Miesha right away. She wants to fight Ronda Rousey. Even with the title, a fight between Miesha and Rousey doesn’t have the glamour a fight with Holly and Ronda does. Yeah, Holly lost. She made a mistake, but she’ll learn from it. Everyone saw she’s a warrior.”

The last six months have seen UFC’s two biggest stars, Rousey and Conor McGregor lose. But White said he wasn’t worried those defeats would hit UFC’s popularity.

“There’s always somebody super talented coming down the pipeline, man,” he said. “It’s always been that way, and it will always be that way.”

That's the weird thing, Holly trains wit Jackson's and winkeljohn but is still using her old boxing manager and didn't hire a new Mma manager more familiar to dealing with dana and Jackson's.

Obviously Ronda is the money fight, u take a few months off do sum press and media and wait to cash that chq again, u beat Ronda again then u go fight nobody else the casual public don't care about. But instead u fought hard fighting o fight rite away and lost that strap and big money bout.
She got paid half a mil, that's more then most male ufc fighters. She will be be back fighting for that belt before the end of the year:manny:

Dana White: Conor McGregor willing to do what Georges St-Pierre never would
"That's the thing -- nobody wants to do it. GSP would never move up to 185 to fight Anderson Silva. He wouldn't do it," White said when speaking to Russillo and Kanell on Tuesday. "That's what makes Saturday so fun. You know how many times we wanted to do the GSP-Anderson Silva fight? GSP would not do it. Would not do it. Guys don't do that stuff. That's what makes Conor McGregor so unique, so fascinating and so fun.

"For GSP he was moving up one weight class. Conor McGregor jumped up two weight classes."

Really Dana? Did he forget that Aldo wanted to move up in weight and he blocked him? Taking shots at GSP now? No disrespect to Nate but we comparing Anderson freaking silva to a less than 2 weeks fight camp Diaz who is a natural lightweight like Conor so miss me with that 2 divisions shyt. Bit of a difference fighting a 155’er who didn’t cut weight at 170 than moving up from 170 to fight a 185’er destroyer of worlds (which Anderson was at the time) who cuts weight from 200. We're gonna forget all those years GSP the GOAT defended his title multiple times and conor hasn't done it once (though he will soon)? GSP defended his title 9 times against some of the toughest opposition in ufc history

Conor's not the first guy to ever move up in weight. GSP didn't do it cause he didn't want to get laid the fukk out like Conor did. Weight classes exist for a reason and GSP was humble enough to realize it.

Bruh. The way they're proppin McG is crazy.

Add that to the facts that GSP was definitely too small for MW and BJ had no business being anything higher than LW.

This dude Conor is fighting at FW knowing damn well he's a LW.

I'll give him credit for having the discipline to make that weight cut, though.

Lindland fought Fedor too...I never bothered watching that one...but I know it happened. Dude was a MW to the core and fought a guy that at the time was getting GOAT arguments and remains one of if not the best HW.

Dana on Conor McGregor's WW jump: 'GSP would never move up' to fight Anderson

Hard to say if this is revisionist history or not, but it certainly differs from White's accounts of GSP's willingness to go to 185 in the past.

In 2010, white offered up this opinion on the GSP/Silva fight:

"If it's true [about what Anderson Silva said], if he could cut down to 170, I would look at a GSP fight. I would do it. I don't like the idea of GSP moving up."

And this:

"GSP told me straight up, I'll fight him [Anderson] right now. If you guys want to make that fight, make the fight. GSP is not concerned what so ever with fighting Anderson Silva. First, Anderson Silva has a couple guys he needs to beat. He needs to beat Chael Sonnen and probably Vitor Belfort, should Vitor win his next fight. Here's the other problem, Georges St.Pierre is a natural 170 pounder. Anderson Silva not only cuts to 185, he's fought at 205. That's kind of why the fight doesn't make sense to me. But if enough people want to see it, I'll make it."

And in 2011 he even went so far as to say this:

"Georges St-Pierre said he would move to 185 (to fight Silva) and stay at that weight and not go back to 170," White said. "Should (they) win (their next) fights, that fight will probably happen this year."

Maybe there was a lot more going on behind the scenes than meets the eye. Maybe GSP was really telling Zuffa that he wouldn't move up to fight Anderson the whole time. Maybe now that fighters know Dana White is so enthusiastic about the idea, we'll see a lot more champs jumping divisions for fun fights.

Do you think if she would've waiting for Ronda for a rematch that she would've made over a mil with ppv buys?

I think that initial rematch would've been huge, but now has lost some of its luster.

So he makes all the excuses for Conor but throws slick shots at Holly :mjpls:
Of course, he's still in his feelings about her beating Rousey. I'd love to just punch Dana in his fukking mouth. Biggest petty bytch I've ever seen. How you gonna be pettier than a female....against a female?

And the way he's swinging from Conor's sack, you gotta know even Conor's fukking disgusted like :scusthov:

GSP dominated his division as champion, same with Anderson Silva. That's in part why their superfight was truly compelling and unforced. Same with Jones vs Silva.

Connor just barely won the FW belt lol. UFC entertaining the idea of McGregor fighting 145, 155 and 170 title back to back to back just reeks more of bullshyt favoritism than it does a fearless fighter.

Holly was willing to go up in weight to face Cyborg unlike his golden girl Ronda so lol @ no one wanting to do it. Had she lost that fight he sure as damn hell won't be making all of these excuses Conor's is getting and would throw shade on Holly like he's doing now. :snoop:
