To be fair to Anderson he was coming off two fights in as many years. Having said that, he has lost a step but I think he's still quite capable of finishing a fight. Hall had his biggest win against Moose, and subsequently lost in another lackluster outing. Dana really set him up for failure by hyping him so much on TUF.
No Dana didn't do anything Hall set himself up for failure. Dude just doesn't shine when the light is the brightest. He has a mental block. He coulda easily been mixed in with one of the premier names in the UFC if he would stop being so scary.

He gassed him up tho so he's partly to blame for the high expectations but you're right. He has the skillset to be a threat at MW but he more often than not chokes when he shouldn't.

The thing is how many black fighters does Dana really gas up? Hall had his opportunity and that says a lot because Dana gets behind only a few

McGregor must really not want to make the cut to 145 anymore. Are they gonna strip him of the title? He's gonna take two fights and not defend his strap

I don't think it matters if he defends it now. Conor is still a huge draw and I think Dana will probably keep the title on him just so they can book Conor vs Aldo or Edgar later

I just think it's a totally ridiculous fight that didn't need an immediate rematch when McGregor has business to attend to at FW. Plus they're talking about this fight being at WW again :mindblown:

The only thing that makes sense is McGregor can't(or won't) cut to 145 any more.

They seriously can't be considering a rematch and I hope that doesn't headline 200 :snoop:

Unless it's something like GSP returning to fight Lawler, I don't see how it's not the main event. UFC 200 is looking sorta shaky so far, I'm definitely looking forward to 197 and 198 much more than what's been reported(Diaz/McGregor rematch, Velasquez/Browne, Tate/?, Mousasi)
