I hope Gil Melendez is just angling for the big money cross over fight with Benson and isn't serious about "having the game plan to beat him" Ben would rough him up pretty bad I think.

Hey, I'm thinking of getting into MMA, but it's spread across so many channels and events that I'm confused how to get into it.
Does everyone here only watch UFC? If not, what are the other MMA sponsors (I guess?) to watch? Who are the top guys to watch in MMA? Any big upcoming fights? Any suggestions on how to watch more physical MMA rather than wrestling on the mat type MMA or is boxing more what I'm looking for?

As for suggestions, get it out of your head that MMA should be like boxing and they just stand and fight. Theres many aspects to MMA, like grappling and such. Now there are boring guys who like to lay and pray, but there are also exciting fights that take place on the ground. I'd suggest learning about the ground game a bit, and take some time to understand positioning so that you dont think dude is just 'laying' on someone.
