because he looks like uncle phil at 235, yet is still hella fast, so I'm curious to see how blindingly fast he will be at 205 provided that his cut is a graceful one. Theoretically he could prob make 185.

how does that work. And for the ppl that say cormier can do such and such at 235 so @ 205 he'll be superfast are jumping the gun big time. Dude is in his early 30s for one and weight drops in most cases either zap a fighter's strength or could hinder cardio. This topic is kind of much to do about nothing cuz cormier is backtracking on the whole thing like it wasn't his idea

Mir always has a pretty decent size purse. He's usually the main guy hyping fights, honestly he was the only one to add any hype to the ufc on fox 7 card. We had 2 ceasar Gracie guys on the main card and didn't hear anything from either, I heard more about ufc 159 these past few weeks

Him and Cain are training partners/friends and have both said they won't fight. I'm pretty sure he's still fighting at heavy until he gets a guaranteed shot at the lhw belt or at least a #1 contender fight, It wouldn't be worth it to drop down If he doesn't

This is exactly why I dont get why dana letting pettis drop down to fight Aldo? Would seem like perfect time for Pettis Bendo 2, fans have been waiting for that since the 1st one.

the 145 div was in desperate need of some sizzle and aldo was running low on serious contenders. In comes pettis it was like mana from heaven, I just hope the fight lives up to the hype

Let Aldo continue to clean out that division, let Faber go back up in class n fight Aldo again as a co main event in Cali, it'll help sell some tix and give time for the Zombie to come back n have a warm up fight.

I don't know man that sounds kind of uninspiring. I don't even think cali fans would eat up another faber/aldo fight.Cuz there boy has less chance of pullin out an upset than sonnen has against jones.

Then let Aldo fight zombie and if Aldo wins convincingly then Aldo goes up to 155, as that weight cut has been taking a lot out of him lately. Let Mendes fight sum1 to b da new champ.

Cormier is in a weird spot, he's got a solid argument for a title shot, can't fight the champ (understandably) and it doesn't appear Cain is going to lose anytime soon either.

He doesn't seem to "want" to cut to 205 because now he's saying things like "i'd hope for a tuneup fight" when it was initially about kicking Jon Jones ass. .. a tune up fight puts him against maybe a Machida or someone like that at a weight class his body may or may not be able to deal with at 34 years old. I dunno man. .. it's a rough spot to be in. Provided Jones wastes Sonnen like it appears he's going to Cormier could bark and leapfrog Machida for next if he REALLY wants to.

This is all speculation, but i'm guessin Cormier really doesnt give a flyin F about bein da champ in either of the weight classes and he's jus fightin to mk sum bucks. Considering as u sd he's 34, been an elite wrestler most his life now so he's probably tired of the weight cutting and watching what you eat by now. he can stay on a avg diet not a krazy Dolce diet and stay competitive in HW. wit his level of wrestling and grappling im sure he cn beat most of the top 10 ufc hw's wit out trainin in wrestling, jus sum boxing and bjj defense to keep sharp.

If he really cared bout bein da champ he wld fight his teammate Cain, or he can stay a top 2 or 3 contender and jus mk sum solid bank on fights n avoid gettin too much damage n no overly aggressive training. Wha wld the payout difference be if he fought Machida or hendo/rashad winner and if he fought winner of jds/hunt?

I wish cormier's teammate / friend wasn't in the Heavy weight... So that he could go ahead n get that belt... and leave J Jones with his belt. That way Anderson can keep his sh1t, and them n1ggas will all have one.

Now they are trying to push him.... and he's so Hungry right now "Im undefeated" I the best wrestler in the world... I just want to beat everyone except my homeboy... He just has to go after J. Jones sh1t and have Jones elbow his ass into the canvas and submit his chubby ass.

no... clearly henderson landed more important shots... IT WAS GIL's fight and belt to take... he was the one that needed to be aggressive, instead he hesitated because he didn't want to get clinched up. - You cannot do that when your the challenger.

Hendo did what he had to do... win 3 rounds and not get beat up too much so that he can propose to his girl and convince her to do a trizzy that night for being romantic on a major network.

He's lying, but he should have, and would have if UFC fighters didn't get raped on their deals. That show did a 6 or 7 mil gate and did a mil on PPV.
