Chael VS Wanderlei for TUF: Brazil 3!!! :gladbron:

Will be a classic :banderas:

edit: late, but still :banderas:

The fukkery that will ensue. Who will Chael coach? A Brazilian team? Or an American team in Brazil? The Americans will be run out of the country. Not just in fighting but those Brazilians will fukk with them in the house. Wanderlei will not be able to control himself when they have to stand together in the gym.

I can only see it being America Vs Brazil, It will be hard as fukk to train someone who speaks a different language with an interpreter. Although chael says he speaks 7 different languages :ohhh:

I'm hoping he turns out better than Hatsu Hioki does. One advantage he does have over most Asian fighters is that he is a very good wrestler and is known for taking his opponents down and punishing them. I don't see him getting lnp for the most part.

Kawajiri beat Josh Thomson who is title contention right now. But then again he was also run over by Gilbert. He too old. UFC just wants him for the Japanese fans.

Palhares speaks

"I did not want to hurt him," Palhares said through his manager/interpreter, Alex Davis. "In the heat of the fight, I didn't feel him tap. Afterwards, when I watched the fight, I'd realized that I'd held on too long. But I really didn't mean to hurt him, you know? He's a fighter like I am, and I know that he does this for a living, and I'd never want to hurt him.

"I think it has a lot to do with my style," he said. "I'm really aggressive when I go after the submissions, and there's been times also when I've not held on and people have gotten out of it, and I end up losing the fight. So, it's kind of the way I fight, but I've been getting better, and working a lot on this. But it's just the way I fight, it's my style.

"I don't know (if I'll return to the UFC), I think time will tell. I'm going to continue fighting, and I'll do my best. I want to be the best in the world, and the UFC is where the best in the world are. And time will tell. I will keep on doing it and getting better and let's see what happens.

Asked outright if he regretted how he handled the end of the Pierce fight in his welterweight debut, Palhares said, "No, I wanted to win by submission." When clarified to mean the particular infraction, not the submission itself, he changed his tune.

"Yes, that part I need to apologize to Mike Pierce and to Dana White," he said. "I was so focused on the fight, I didn't feel it. I only saw that afterwards."

World Jiu-Jitsu Expo promoter Renzo Gracie told MMAFighting.com on Tuesday that they have signed the submission wizard to be part of their next edition on Nov. 9-10 in Long Beach, Calif., and he’s set to meet UFC veteran and three-time ADCC champion Dean Lister in a 20-minute submission-only no-gi match with no points.

:ehh: Both guys love the leglocks

I don't think fighters post-fight medical check includes x-rays and the suspension only said possibly broken. Might just be a precaution. :yeshrug:

Cain probably had his jaw cracked in the opening seconds. JDS nailed him good a few times. I thought it might've be over in a few seconds.
