What size/strength advantage? :patrice:

Machida definitely has a strength advantage. The size difference is minimal, but I would still say Machida is bigger. Anderson's taller and lankier, while Machida is a fair bit thicker.

In all honesty I hope Weidman retains and Silva moves up. There are too many opportunites from that scenario. You could easily match Weidman with Belfort, Machida, Jacare without any bullshyt. Anderson wont fight any of those guys if he wins

Anderson is gonna lose. His whole attitude leading up to that fight and his words after tells me he's lost the fire. He didn't want this rematch.

you hate belfort dont you

why do you think that? I'm not that big of fan, but I don't hate him...even though he can be overly dramatic.

Tough match-up for Machida, Anderson has the better striking and chin. Machida would need to use his size/strength advantage along with his striking to keep Anderson guessing. I think Anderson wins 8/10 times

Machida has a chance...thats all im saying. Since he would have the size advantage, he could try to bang with Anderson in the clinch and use his wrestling to get him down which would be interesting. Silva has the reach advantage by being the rangier fighter, but Lyoto can move as well as anyone moving in and out very quickly. The only way Machida can lose while standing is if he rushes in at the wrong moment and eats a hard countered shot. Samething with Anderson as well. Both fighters have incredible timing and are excellent at keeping distance. The only difference is that Lyoto doesn't waste his time toying with his opponet and if Anderson is on that showboating shyt....he will pay the ultimate price.

I hope this fight happens

because he and lyoto wont be fireworks, it will probably play out a lot like his recent fight or vitor's with anderson

Anderson has the country on his back, I think he comes in motivated and hungry [or at least I hope].

As with most dominant champs that look unbeatable, once they lose one, they seem to lose a step and likely lose a string of fights afterwards. Machida looked unbeatable then he drops 4 of the last 7 in LHW. I mean he fought the best of the best but still.

Fedor was indestructible until it happened to him.

I dunno....I've always heard that Silva's deceptively strong as shyt for his build....especially in the clinch. Machida may have a strength advantage, but it's not like he's gonna manhandle dude or anything. His lower center of gravity is really what would make the difference....
