He's been in the cage with some big ass heavyweights, josh barnet is 6'4 252 pounds and he manhandled him and hurt him with punches

he a real ass wrestler

Most of those guys were slow and lumbering compared to Cormier. The only thing they had on him was height. Cormier weighed just as much as Barnett. Jones is just as fast and he has a good 12 inch reach advantage.

The slam was pure technique, if he can do that to a 250 pound man he can do it anybody, Daniel wrestling is at another level than the rest of these MMA cats, his boxing is also better

Besides putting his hands in people's face Jones doesn't use his reach much, he beats people up in the clench, his most dangerous elbows are at close range up against the cage, or ground and pound

Jon is not an elitle striker, Gus would use his reach better against Cormier than Jones could, this will be Jones' ultimate test

Why, you sitting here talking about Jone's reach like this is a boxing match nikka

he slam against barnett a little to do with his strength it was technique getting that leverage and sending his ass flying, he also judo flipped him in the same fight, cormier is a technical beast

Cormier is not gonna fight this nikka on the outside he's gonna shoot in, go for his legs, Jones is gonnna have to keep him from taking him down, I expect a lot fighting in the clench and up against the cage

tell how jon jones using his reach in a fight, besides putting his hands people faces and throwing kicks, his legs are longing than his arms, he using those most of the time to gauge distance

Cormier will have no problem getting inside his length, the fight will depend on how well Jon Jones can cope with his take down attempts

I am not debating anyone who claims Jones doesn't use his reach effectively. There is nothing substantive that will come. And your assumption that Cormier will have no problems getting into range with his 5'10, 72 inch reach. Because Evans did it so easily, Because Belfort did it so easily. Because Glover did it so easily. All guys bigger then Cormier

You can't even tell me how he using his reach
or his reach is gonna stop Cormier from getting inside, Cormier has better boxing than Jon Jones from what I said, better head movement, he throws shots at more angles, he's more technical, and if he kicks like he did against Gus Cormier will grab his leg and slam him

I told he uses kicks, he sticks his hands out in people's face to hold him place, or to guage their reaction

Jones beats people up close range in the clench, up against the cage, and ground in pound

you can pull up any jon jones highly and see that

if he knew how to use his reach he would be knocking out guys instead of submitting him, he needs to work with an elite boxing coach because he's wasting his gift

:mjpls: Jon Jones will suffer a injury by the end of the week. :pachaha:
If you recall cormier was actually jones's poison of choice it was cormier that oddly came out and said gus deserves it more and hes willing to wait. Then came reports of his alleged knee injury, suddenly jones argrees to fight gus and we have a set date :beli:

He probably just needed to get scoped, jon jones has never faced anybody who could possible keep him on his back , cormier was ragging dolling that big ass cac josh barnett like it wasn't shyt

If he wins this fight I gotta put him over Silva as the greatest of all time
jones right? You are saying if he beats cormier he'll be in the discussion of goat? I can see that. You know for a sec there i thought you were saying if cormier beat jones hed be the greatest mmat :russ:

Until he holds that belt for 7 years, hes not passing Silva(and this coming from someone who not a Silva fan)

If Jones beats Gus [again] and Cormier, he will have 9 title defenses, tying GSP and 1 defense short of Anderson Silva's 10. Jones has clearly faced better competition (every single title defense has been against a top 5 or 10 opponent, with Vitor and Sonnen being ranked as MWs) in a tough division. Not only has he faced tough competition, Jones has beaten most his opponents almost effortlessly. Does he have the jaw dropping moments of Anderson? No. But, if he beats Cormier and then Gus [again], he will have faced a murder's row of opponents and will have pretty much cleaned out his division (minus Rumble). Quality over quantity (not to say that Anderson and GSP haven't beaten their fair share of quality opponents)

Jones is also young, has taken minimal damage through out his career and has been (for the most part) injury free, he still has a lot of years left.
