“I’m down to fight whoever,” he today told MMAjunkie Radio. “If they want to give me Alex, that’s fine. We’re all going to have to fight eventually, one day. It’s bound to happen, so why not?”
UFC President Dana White said a fight between the two standouts could take place in the near future. In an interview with UFC.com, he said Johnson “makes sense” as Gustafsson’s next opponent while deflecting critics – including “The Mauler” – who said his rematch with champ Jon Jones should take priority over a grudge match with Daniel Cormier at UFC 182 in January.
Johnson will happily accept the fight with Gustafsson under all but one circumstance – that it takes place in the onetime title challenger’s backyard of Sweden.
“I’ll hate it, but all right, I guess I’m going to Sweden to whip some ass,” he said with a laugh.
A conversation about Johnson’s future took place today, the fighter reported, and news about his next fight could come in the next 72 hours. Johnson declined to reveal further specifics.
“We haven’t talked main events yet – we just talked about potential opponents and people I’m for sure going to fight,” he said. “We’re just taking it one day at a time. I could (have an announcement soon). We’ll see what happens.”
“I can’t say nothing. I don’t throw bones – I throw bombs. I’ll fight ‘em all. They’re all going to be victims.”

At least he's willing to throw down, unlike a certain someone

"He did some things here that were like that. But I didn't think he'd take that into Greg Jackson's gym. Not the stuff that happened anywhere else. So that shocked me.
"I just figured when I first heard he was hurt that it was an accident with one of his usual training partners, not some one who's just come in and has hurt him. Greg Jackson says it wasn't on purpose, but I know the man and when he was here he was always hurting somebody. Accidentally on purpose. And it ain't because he's clumsy, he ain't clumsy, he would just hurt you.
"I've seen the guy do it. I've seen him basically bullying and stuff. Now I can't speak on what happened with him and Jon because I wasn't there. They could have been training like pro athletes and really just pushing each other and a freak accident happens. And I hope Jon recovers and comes back stronger. But if it really wasn't an accident, then I feel sorry for Jon and I hope he recovers regardless. But when Overeem is involved, it is what it is."
