I haven't picked up my camera in years, but my friend asked me to shoot a party for his mother and i couldn't say no. After doing the party, I'm sitting here going back through all my old photos, and realized that I really miss shooting. Definitely gonna get back into it this summer.

That omission is crazy to me.
Copped a 24-70 2.8 for my r8 yesterday which completes my zoom trinity now.

EF 70-200 f4L (w/adapter)
As far as primes go, I have a RF 28mm 2.8 pancake and a RF 85mm f2 macro.
Hoping for a 40mm pancake and a Sigma 105 f1.4 ART in native RF mounts someday.

AD S7. 19" and attaches directly to a bare bulb'd ad200. No need for a S2/Bowens mount to hold it.

There's taller mini lightstands out there, but I like the fact that this one has adjustable legs. Looks to be sturdy enough for my needs. I'll amend this post if it isn't.
Whole setup comes in a under $100

I'll test everything out and let you know my thoughts on it tomorrow. I hate setting up lights outdoors, so hopefully this can take some of the pain out of it lol. One tip I saw was to keep the base of the mount to the light stand very loose, so that if it gets it with some wind it will just spin around instead of getting knocked over. I watched some more videos and it looks like adding the deflector plate softens the light quite a bit while still maintaining a good, even output.
This video gives a good idea of the versatility and mobility of this setup.

I really like the light stand and flash grip setup a lot. Going to return the mini umbrella because it's pretty small and the stand surprisingly holds my 43" umbrella quite securely after I added a small weighted bag to it. Using only one, filled it with some small stones from my backyard and sewed it shut.

its over. only thing left is corporate event stuff cuz u cant easily AI those type of events yet. but budgets are getting cut for that stuff. then when it comes to retouching, AI is good enough and they are outsourcing to foreigners with AI tools, so they cheaper than they've ever been.A few years? It's already happening lol. You have the well established photographer saying it's all a tool to make the job easier while the rest are complaining about their bookings drying up. The well established are still getting business at this current moment so they are being very very short sighted. When retouch4me and Evoto hit them phone apps it's gone look scary for them.
Luxury branded, Wedding, Grad, and special moment photographers will still exist for those who have coin and want the experience. All them $2-$400 hourly portrait photographers will be done. business will be so scarce that they will all cannibalize themselves constantly lowering the prices.
I have no idea why photographers want to avoid this conversation
