Played my ps4 300 miles away using my vita. :gladbron:

Yea rp works near flawlessly as long as you have good connection AT HOME. My router was acting up giving me slow ass upload speeds but I fixed it and my upload speeds went from 0-1mbps to 10mbps which fixed my laggy and unstable rp connection over the internet. I just played a match of Killzone mp about 15 miles away from home. It played with minimal issues, plus they have a new updated control scheme for rp.

I still can't get mine to connect over the internet. Is your quad hooked up to your router/modem wired?
What router do you have?? I have mines connected to my wireless router via ethernet cable.

Also what are your speeds?? Check it at speedtest.net

Before I was getting terrible upload speeds that barely cracked 1Mb/s. Now this is more than enough to get good stable connection so anything above I'd say 5Mb/s for uplaod speed should be sufficient.. I was able to play a match of Killzone online 5 miles away from home with minimal issues.

This joint:
And while I'm paying for 50 megs down, the highest I've gotten since getting a new 3.0 modem is 32-33 megs down, over wifi at least with about 9-10 upload.
Try doing a speedtest with your PC connected directly to the modem and then with it connected to the router and compare the difference. If it's drastically different then try resetting your router through the little switch in the back and likewise with your modem. What errors do you get when you try to do RP over the internet?

went to my friend's house and played both consoles
Ended up buying the XboxOne, easiest choice I've made

PS4 was a disgusting choice, and only thing I'm missing out on is infamous second son

Ok.

How is your PS4 setup?? Wirelessly?? Wired?? What's the IP?? Check it on the PS4 internet connection status page in the network settings.

You may have to forward your ports.
  • If your router does not support UPnP, you must adjust the router's port forwarding setting to allow communication to the PS4™ system from the Internet. The port numbers that are used by remote play are 9295 (for TCP), and 9296 and 9297 (for UDP). If these ports are unavailable, it might be possible to use ports 9295~9304 (for TCP and UDP). For information about these settings, refer to the instructions supplied with your router.
http://manuals.playstation.net/document/en/psvita/ps4link/viainternet.html

http://portforward.com/english/routers/port_forwarding/Asus/RT-N56U/defaultguide.htm Follow this guide to do it.

Before you forward your port, give your PS4 a static IP address by setting up your connection manually on your PS4. That IP address will be what you use in the local ip field for forwarding your ports.

I am really thinking about getting an xbone but don't think I can justify it...it would be easier for me to justify a wii...but I'm really thinking about it. I may cop one for my bday if games come out.
