Idk if its the new improved policy or because I bought it on a overseas account, PS refunded me on a game that I downloaded and even played right away, just a simple click. Wasn't expecting to get money back.

I don't fully agree but I get the sentiment. That goes out the window once GTA 6 gets released anyway.
I'm so tired of this argument. We literally just posted all the new heat dropping this month and next month. Not to mention all the games that have released over there years. We gotta start asking these folks to show their trophies and gaming purchases and that will tell the true story. A lot of these folks aren't real gamers. They don't play single player games. They only play games that have a ball in it, you shoot people, or it's multiplayer. Anything else is either boring, too hard for them, or they lack the attention span to sit still and actually complete a story based game. You heard him mention Fortnite as his game of reference and that told me all I know. I had some brehs I knew that complained about this same issue but all they play is 2k. They were dumbfounded when I told them that the way 2k is currently set up it is essentially an RPG/MMO at this point

What is a real gamer? I feel like the term gamer is pretty much meaningless these days. If you watch an occasional movie are you then not a real a movie watcher vs someone that watches movies every week? Almost everyone under the age of 60 plays some sort of video game so like movies and music we no longer need a term to define someone who consumes that media as it's so common.

Don't be dense. You've never heard of a cinephile? They're ones that have a much greater knowledge and appreciation of film over some one that just occasionally watches a movie once a few years. Same with a real hip-hop head versus a top 40 countdown listener. There's always a divide of someone that casually dabbles into a medium versus the ones that are truly entrenched within them.

You're being obtuse on purpose. You know what a real gamer is lol. Your movie reference falls flat too because there are actually people that truly get into the weeds of the film from the film quality to the audio. There are casual gamers and then there are real gamers. People that only play 2K, COD, Fortnite, GTA, etc are casual gamers. They don't truly invest into the medium that is video games. A lot of them don't buy single player games from other developers or branch out from the 5-6 annual releases. It's easy to identify them. Any game that has combat and it has any sort of skill required they call it a souls-like game lol

Plus I just saw that Cronus new dawn game. If you can't find a single game to purchase in this day and age that says more about you then the gaming industry lol. Even if your funds ain't right just having PS+ or Gamepass should have something in there

I'm also a participant in this thread who recently just purchased the PS5 PRO. I'm an advocate. If I wasn't aware of the current heat and the games on the way, I wouldn't have spent over half a grand on a new console - especially considering I still have a backlog of PS4 games I've yet to touch. My PS5 PRO is gonna be used way more than my PS4 which to be honest, I haven't played it that much compared to the previous PS generations. I'm just not mad at those who still refuse to get one, but like I said, once GTA 6 comes out most folk are gonna purchase a PS5 regardless of what they say now.

. I bought mines day one and haven't had any regrets! But yeah these next 2-3 yrs I think we're going to see more first party PS5 exclusives to push people to the next console. The people hanging on to their ps4s is one of the biggest things holding these consoles back because they use resources to develop for the lowest common denominator instead using that time for optimization instead. But GTA 6 definitely will be a system seller. If folks have had PS+ the last 2-3 yrs I don't see how they don't have a backlog either with the monthly games they give even if some are a dud.
