At this point is there even a real point in trying Walmart

If the Walmart only allows in store pickup, you might have a shot, especially with multiple releases throughout the day. Gotta imagine Walmart has as much, if not more stock than anyone.

Now if the only option is to have it shipped, it'll be possible but definitely harder.

I had one in my cart for best buy. asked me to sign in (already was), then asked me to verify with a text, still got to checkout....go to "choose pickup location"

People are freaking out over "day 1 console issues"

But they have no sense of perspective.
Playstation likely figures to sell something like 5 million units inside the first 6 months or so.

The odds that you're going to get a faulty console is less than 1%. I wish these people would get a grip and stop overreacting to 1 personal experience with an Xbox 8 years ago, or whatever some social media personality posts on Twitter.
